Now that Jason Kidd has won a ring, does his jersey get retired? And if it does, where? New Jersey, where his prime was, or Dallas, the team that drafted him and probably will end his career with, and also won a ring with. what are your viewz?!?!?!

Both Nets and Mavs. He would've gotten his jersey retired regardless for both franchises ring or not.

Just cause someone wins a ring, now he gets a jersey retired? Honestly, Jason Kidd hasnt even been an allstar in a Dallas uniform. He has just been a solid PG. He even has different numbers from NJ to DAL.

Nets already told a player I forgot who that he cant take number 5 since its being retired in NJ.

What about the Suns?

he didn't make much of a mark in Phoenix, mainly because McDyess punked out and the Suns had to replace him with Googs which wasn't a good fit...plus Kidd called Phoenix a "One Horse Town" While he was in NJ..Not too many Suns fans are very fond of him, especially after his domestic problems..

Dallas...

I say Both but Jason Kidd wore different numbers both stints with Dallas

But I say Dirk and Kidd's jersey will be up there with Blackman (Maybe Terry if he gets 1 or 2 more championships with Dallas)

How many retired ones do we have? Like 1 or 2 lol

Thanks for the info. Couldn't remember much of how he was in Phoenix.

Kidd has changed his number wherever he's gone, he was 32 in Phoenix. Anyway, I think he gets his number retired in NJ without question. I think Dallas will if he stays another 2-3 years out of respect for him. One of the greatest PG's of all-time.

I think his jersey should definitely be retired with Dallas. He started in Dallas, came full circle, and finally won a championship with them. It's only fair.

Where did he start his career?
Where do you think he will finish his career?
Where did he win a championship which is in his own opinion was his greatest moment of basketball?

The Nets will 100% retire his number, he's the team's greatest player ever (including Dr. J) in terms of impact to the franchise. Mavs probably do as well, especially since he's a first ballot HOFer and was an impact player on this championship team.

I do have to admit, I was wrong about that Devin Harris trade. I thought it was a bad move to trade for Jason Kidd but he gave them veteran leadership that I don't think Devin could provide for this series. Great job Jason.

Before the Finals it was the Nets for sure. After the Finals it's both the Nets and Dallas for sure.
