"Nets and ex-Jazz's Deron Williams expected to sign with agent Leon Rose (CAA), source says, after leaving longtime former agent Bob McClaren"

What do you guys think? CAA keeps getting stronger. Now has both Cp3 and D-Will. They are really taking over. Does this do anything to D-Will's future? It's unbelievable how many stars the CAA has now.

Still can't hold a candle to the Miller-Gold agency.

I don't mean to sound stupid, but I've never heard of the CAA.

Nets fan be ready for Deron to decline the extension offered. He's going to hit the open market.

I read that he wants to get bigger names to Brooklyn thats why he signed with Rose. And who cares he has already said he wants to be a free agent to see what it feel likes, I wouldnt care.

And all those pieces the Nets traded will go to waste, what a shame. It's too bad you didn't get Melo like you really wanted.

Seems like Deron on the Nets gets you nervous, I am confident just like King and Johnson that he will remain with the Nets. I did want Melo but the Nets didnt get him. Now I am happy with Deron.

Williams plans to align with Rose, source says, in the hope of bringing talent to Brooklyn. Rose represents LeBron James, among others.

Not in the least bit of way. I'm just hoping if we don't end up with CP3 that we get Deron.

LOL! Yeah, CP3 or Deron are going to sign to play with the Knicks for less-than-max contract. Get real.

Here's the Knicks situation:

Amare: $19,948,799
Melo: $20,463,024
Balkman: $1,675,000
NY’s 2011 1st rd pick: $1,444,100

$473K need to be added for every empty spot under the 12 players minimum (they’d have 4 players under contract, so… .473 × 8 = another $3.8M).

All this means they’d still have a $47.3M payroll. Even if the cap remains the same ($58M— which would really be BCS for them), they’d still have ONLY under $11M in cap space.

And that’s assuming they decline Douglas’ option for 2012-13 this summer and renounce Fields’ rights. If they don’t, they will have even less cap space.

I really hope you guys are just **** talking because you guys don't like domefavors. Because if you really think that the Nets won't be able to recruit better players with Deron on board and being in New York next year, you're in for a surprise.

I dont know why people take him seriously and even bother quoting him. He is just a little 10y old kid. He doesnt even post in the Nets forum cuz we all just disregard him. He is LTERALLY a child and any one that quotes him when he baits is just as stupid as he.

Well don't forget CP3 was the one who made the toast and Billups has a 13 million expiring contract coming off the books after next season. So we'll see what happens. Worst case is we resign felton who loved it here and fit in this system perfectly.
