I still think he's pretty annoying. He and JVG are a lot more tolerable than they were a year ago though. For being basketball heads, a pretty fair amount of the things they say basketball wise I tend to disagree with but I've agreed with them for the most part on their take on the finals.

Shaq to replace him?

Hopefully not. I want Shaq to join TNT if he ends up covering the NBA. I'm not sure I can see him doing color commentary, but if he did, I'd like to see him with Steve Kerr and Marv Albert.

I'm so happy Mark Jackson will be off the air. His commentary is atrocious. Now can someone please give Reggie Miller a job doing something where I don't have to hear him?

Breen is an idiot. Jackson took 'bang', after Stu Lantz, and Breen's non-orginal-mirror-practicing-line-jotting-*** ran with it. Lmao at the clowns who think he wasn't a good color guy (no pun). Who is better?

worst commentator ever... he never said anything that sounded even somewhat remotely smart. all he did was talk in a way that made everything sound so rugged and manly. hes a much better fit for a dodge ram commercial. golden state is going to be even worse with him.

We Already Won
06-08-2011, 04:34 PM
Let's keep this thread hate-free shall we?

Mark Jackson, you may be leaving the commentary booth but you will not be forgotten. This is a man that coined some of the greatest catch-phrases in the history of human civilization.

Generations from now coaches will be teaching young players the right way to play. They will explain that "Hand down" means "Man down". If you don't put your hand up to contest a players shot, chances are he/she is going to sink it.

While this generation of big men is rather weak, if players take on MJ's (Mark, not Michael) mindset of making "grown man moves" we will see era of big's that put Shaq, Hakeem, Duncan, and Russell to shame.

Go get that ring in Golden State, Mark! You deserve it.

GOAT.

I'm a lifetime Warriors fan and am a bit skeptical with the hiring of someone that has never coached a day at this level in his life. That being said, I hope he blows away everyone's expectations and turns my team around. Looks like our FO is in the process of or at least is going to try and make some positive roster changes to upgrade the level of talent we put on the floor every night, so he should have the pieces to succeed, I just hope he can transcend everything anyone has said about his lack of coaching experience and take my team to the next level. I'm happy so far with the hiring of West and Malone, but only time will tell. Keep it going Lacob, my confidence in your team management abilities gains momentum with every positive move you make and I hope you will be able to bring us out of the quagmire that is the Golden State Warriors Franchise.

Real cool to see people showing Mark a little love. He's definitely one of my favorites. Refreshing to hear someone that wasn't afraid to add a little flavor to the commentary. I like JVG, he's super cool and straight forward.
