Orlando had the 15th pick.

Yeah, they weren't in any position to pick him, he wasn't lasting that long.

If the Heat picked Kaman, the Bulls were going to take Wade. They had to scramble to get Hinrich.

If you hacks can't read, Doc said they had a deal in place to get him

it's possible that they had a deal worked out.

The Bulls did to as we were going to trade a player and the 7th pick to move to 5th.

But anyway, why would this matter? The Magic had Mcgrady at the time and if they get Wade they probably make the playoffs that year which means no Dwight. That means probably that Tmac never leaves Orlando, and that Shaq does not get traded to Miami but rather probably somewhere like Dallas.

But who's to say picks 14 through 6 didn't have deals worked out too? It's interesting, but a pretty big stretch.

Then they probably would have not gotten Dwight.

If Orlando would have gotten Wade then there is no way you would have gotten Dwight with the first pick the following year.

Yeah. Proabaly would have meant no Howard. But can you imagine if we did get him. Mac+Wade+Dwight!

Not the Pistons, they wanted the mighty Darko Milicic, over Melo and Wade:facepalm:

I don't understand the point of these threads....
Wade got drafted by the Heat. Simple as that.

No he wasn't. Miami said they would trade the pick only if their man was gone but Wade was their man. Therefore the Magic had no shot at all.

Huge lol at this argument from the guy who posts more meaningless what ifs and hypotheticals than anyone.

...but miami never was going to let wade slip by so the magic never had a chance
