Don't see them breaking up because of money. They will take pay cuts to keep the big 3 in tact.

Bye Bosh

I don't know. By then, Wade might be in a heavy decline. Granted, no one might not want to touch that contract with a 10 foot pole.

Wade will retire in MIA

They will take paycuts...they already have...and they will get at least 1 championship together. I can't stand the Heat and I'm saying this.

They'll take the pay cuts. If not I could see one of LeBron or Wade getting tired of the sidekick routine.

Yeah I think if they had to pick two of the three, it would be LeBron and Bosh.

But I imagine LeBron and Wade would take pay-cuts. They both make a lot more money in endorsements than they do with their actual contracts. Bosh probably not so much, but LeBron and Wade really don't need a max contract.

Not happening broski, the CBA will likely reduce every player's salary by 15-25% so it can meet the salary cap requirements.

And why does everyone continue to point out the HEAT when talking about the CBA? Holy **** you guys are so scared lmao.

Some people are really desperate to see the HEAT fail. Much of this garbage finds parallels in radicalized religion and the terrorism it spawns. Hate runs deep. Irrationally and without end.

The Miami HEAT, basketball's infidels. :pity:

i agree. especially if they have already won a championship or two, they will be hungry for more, and at that point, money wont matter to any 3 of them.

Or maybe they want to cater to the average fan. You know, the one who spontaneously poops his pants when he realizes the HEAT are in a great position to win multiple championships during the next half-decade.

Most people dont like to see the favorites win. The underdog is always easier to root for. Plus who doesnt like seeing upsets.

That's not scary. They are in a great position to win multiple championships but so are several other teams.

Everyone needs to stop worrying about the heat so much. When they get a ring, applaud them and move on. D Wade is going to be 30 and has already shown signs he is not the player he used to be. They might lose this series to the mavs. There is a good bunch of NBA teams that will fight to death with heat so let's not automatically give them the next 4 titles. The last 3 games between he heat and bulls were all close right down to the very end. If Rose makes a jumper or the bulls don't choke in game five, it could have easily been 3-2 bulls. But Miami DID win and have proven they were the best team in the east at the right time. Time will tell what happens.

By that time everyone will be begging to play with John Wall.

PS: Probably next year actually.

The Lakers are in just as much trouble and probably no one will be in a worse position than the Bulls. Long term deals are going to be an issue for teams. The Boozer contract I can see as being a huge issue. The guy has always been hurt. It seems like the Bulls were in a panic to make a splash on that one.

Miami will not be in as bad a position as you think.

Please remember that I am right there with you when it comes to John Wall. I think the NBA has no idea what he's going to become. The Wizards have a young nucleus and are going to shock some people sooner than later.

Idk about pay cuts.. Lebron and Wade can prob afford to (Mostly Lebron) because they make a lot of money in endorsements.. But Bosh doesnt really have any endorsement deals where he can bank on and take a pay cut..

Bosh wont take a paycut and will be on the move because of it. The Heat wont be the only team that has to make choices because of this. Just the most noteable.

and Joe Montana will retire a 49er, MJ will retire the last a Bull. You can't possible know what will happen in years from now. For the record I do think its likely Wade will but my point is you can't possibly know.

And in response to the topic, the Heat are middle of the pack payroll wise. The NBA has always had superteams, going back to the Celtics in the 50's. And by law the league and the Heat would have to honor all contracts without touching a word on them so none would have to go even if the CBA changes the old contracts (current one's) are still legally binding regardless of what a new CBA says.

the nhl had in there last cba a clause that the players agreed to and owners a buyout option and a decrease in all players salaries so it is possible to alter contracts

**** your right, money might be tight if he takes a 20%-30% pay cut from $110million. How will he make it?

and an outbreak of malaria could break up the Timberwolves in 2034... is there a point to this thread other than to propose hypothetical situations with very little basis in reality?

Sorry it involves the heat, I also know many other teams will be affected worse. Here are some details about the negotiations from bloomberg.

There are a few lines that really tell the whole story.

Players are completely opposed to haard cap under any circumstance

Owners are open to any system that reaches the goal of reducing the 300 million dollar gap

...also telling is that the owners always use this hard cap stance to get stuff out of the players and then back away from it in the end.
