If Amare and Diaw don't suspended for game 5 in 2007 when the Suns had HCA and the series tied 2-2 due to Horry's cheap shot on Nash, do the Suns win the title that year?

Why do people keep making threads about things that happend several years ago?
Well, anyways, I dont think they would have won the title even if they didn't get suspended.

They lost 4 games altogether, not just the one without Amare & Diaw. Also, not too long ago Nash admitted that he flopped on the Horry foul. Amare & Diaw should have had the intelligence to stay on the bench. They didn't. IMO they would have lost anyways, simply because if they were the better team, SA would not have won the other 3 games.

just like the spurs they would have raped the cavs.

I think so, series tied at 2 and suns had HCA.

Then they would have swept the Cavs with ease. I remember we destroyed them in the the regular season games.

Lol this post is full of sh1t.

You mean Nash flopped on the play where Robert Horry tackled him into the ad boards? yeah I think Nash surely flopped on that. And Amare and Diaw shouldn't really have had to stay on the bench. Before that day, there wasn't a protocol where getting off the bench was really "a disruption" especially when your star player is tackled.

Suns would have destroyed the Cavs that year.

Suns were up 2-1 I believe in that series and had the momentum before the suspension. They should have won that series blown by Utah and man handle the cavs.

as good as Lebron was they had no shot against the Suns if the Suns got past SA.

dont leave the bench then. its amares fault. and no they would not have won. you need to be able to play defense to win a title and the suns could and did not do that.

I saw them winning. They could have even made it to the NBA finals last year. Just happy ron ron bailed us out after his mistake by taking a 3 witha fresh shot clock with like a minute and 24 seconds to go in the 4th. His layup saved the lakers, we could have lost, so i wouldnt disrespect the suns and say they play no defense. THey still play team defense

defense got overlooked that year because of the Suns pace. Those teams weren't great defensively but they were good. +8 in point differential that year..thats the sign of a great team, they could feature line-ups with Marion and Amare in their natural roles while Diaw and Thomas played center. .i'd be lying if I said I didn't think that they were going to go into game 6 in San Antonio and put up more of a fight and come back to Phoenix for game 7..but they didnt' ...

That was the NBA finals for all intents and purposes.
I still believe we win game 5 and take a 3-2 series lead. Spurs whooped us in game 6 so it probably woulda went 7.
Suns wouldn't have had their way with Utah but I don't see us having lost to them. And any team would have crushed that years Cavs. Maybe not a sweep but Phoenix wouldn't have lost to them.

It was top notch but in game 5, we ran out of gas. Controlled the entire game.
I feel things woulda been different had we been at full strength (at least for game 5) but we'll never know.
But Defense isn't why the Spurs won that series when you did.

Absolutely.

Amare, D'antoni and others might not have left.

Who knows what would have happened in the future but in my eyes the suspensions cost them the championship.

The Suns' have never really held an advantage against the Spurs on their home court. From 2003 - 2008, their home court record was as follows:
2003- 1-2
2005- 0-3
2007- 1-2
2008- 0-2
Total= 2-9 record at Home against the Spurs.

I think you overvalue home field advantage for the Suns.
