Thought it would be an interesting way to look at how successful of a season various teams have had up to this point:

Very very interesting IMO... Bulls and Thunder really got the most for their money so far (although Miami will probably take the op spot over if they win the title)

Numbers are in wins per million dollars

Adjusted wins give 1 point for a regular season win, 2 points for a playoff win

Things I found most interesting:

Raptors just resigned Colangelo, who was the worst spender of money in the league last year...

Memphis ranked in the top 5...

Durant/Westbrook and Rose/Noah still on rookie contracts...

so... that also means that their talent hasn't peaked yet...

I'm just saying the results are skewed to favor which team has the best players still on their rookie scale. The most cost effective teams are a team that had a #1 pick and a team that had a #2 pick.

True...

beyond those teams you have Miami and SA though...which is pretty darn impressive

Cool find. Magic where I expected: huge payroll, good amount of wins = middle of the pack.

Like KoB said, the results are a bit skewed at this point in time. OKC will fall to the middle of the pack once players like Westbrook and Ibaka are resigned to larger contracts.

Cool find though.

(Ouch, Toronto).
