David West is getting more than the MLE.

Marc Gasol - 5 years 50 mil: Raptors.

B'sCeltsPatsSox

I think Gasol will get the same contract Gay did. David West I think will not get signed for the MLE. Kenyon Martin would probably want more than the vet. minimum. Jeff Green isn't going to get payed that much. I doubt J.R. Smith stays with the Nuggets.

Memphis will surely match that low offer..

West and Butler would get more than the mle..With only a few good players in this year's class..Those 2 might be rated top 8 and demand would be high..

no way gasol gets 5 years 80 mil

All that seems entirely plausible.

Instead of facepalming you, I'll tell you why I disagree

1) D.West- MLE. Signs w/Spurs

He can get more than the MLE and he will take more than the MLE.

2) J.Green- 5yr 60mill. Resigns w/Celtics

Don't think he'll be making 12 million a year. He'll get more than the MLE, but I can't see him making that much.

3) K.Humphries-4yr 30mill. Signs w/Pacers

4) C.Landry- 4yr 30mill. Signs w/Nets

5) G.Davis- 4yr 30mill. Signs w/Hornets

All would be risky signings. Good players, none are worth 4 year commitments that big. I wouldn't give any of them more than the MLE personally. Not crazy, just not smart.

4) S.Battier- MLE. Signs w/Celtics

Won't sign him, esepcially if they give Jeff Green that much money to play the same position.

5) G.Hill- 1yr 3mill. Resigns w/Suns

I want him to go chance rings

2) Jason Richarson. 4yr 38mill. Resigns w/Magic

I really, really, really hope not. But you are probably right...

3) N.Young. 4yr 30mill. Resigns w/Wizards

I don't think the Wiz should bring him back for that price, especially since Crawford seems to have a better future (he can do more than just shoot, unlike Young). But, it wouldn't be a big mistake if they did I guess...

4) A.Affalo- 3yr 12mill. Signs w/Lakers

I'd pay Afflalo 4 years 30 mil before I'd ever pay Nick Young that  That would be a great bargain for LA.

The rest seem OK. It's always hard to predict this stuff. Guessing where everyone is going is just a crapshoot, and adding salaries to that makes it even harder. All and all, they seem like solid predictions.

Heat won't be able to offer any free agent more than the MLE. So that probably means no Gasol.

Why would Dalembert sign with the Knicks instead of the Heat?

He already said he would like to play here:

Sacramento center Samuel Dalembert — a possibility for the Heat’s midlevel exception this summer (if there is one in the new labor deal) — told us last week, “It would be nice to play here [in Miami]. I see myself fitting in well with this team. They need someone to block shots, rebound. I can get lobs as an athletic big man. Some of their centers are at the tail end.” Dalembert, 29, then had 18 points and 13 rebounds — above his career averages (8.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.9 blocks).

He's already cool with someone on this team

Me and Joel Anthony was cool. We hung out together. I even told him that I was proud of him being on the team. He was born in Canada. How come he never played for the Canadian team? Doesn’t make sense huh? I told him, I was sooo happy to have him on the team. He works hard. He goes strong. I told him I loved playing with him. He should be very proud of himself.

Plus let not forget that Dalembert(born in Port-au-Prince) is Haitian and we have someone in our organization by the name of Alonzo Mourning who's always helping down there, this will also give Dalembert an opportunity to team up with Alonzo to help his country.

For that reason, every couple weeks, Mourning makes the short flight from Miami to Port-au-Prince. The retired Miami Heat star is among the many spreading the tale of Project Medishare, the not-for-profit group from the University of Miami that already had spent nearly two decades trying to improve the quality of health care in the impoverished nation.

The only thing NY has going for them is that he went to college up there. And he will make more money in Miami than in NY(taxes) if he takes the MLE. We have all the advantages, let's also not forget that it wouldn't be smart for him to sign with NY because they will try to include him in a package to trade for Dwight Howard or Chris Paul during the season.

No, I'd just hope that Tayshaun would accept the tweener bench position (SF/PF) that Jeff Green should've been at.

Ray will not be traded to Chicago unless they feel like paying a kings ransom. Look from Boston's point of view, if they want to seriously contend and have another plaoff run why would they ever give ray to the bulls? Thats right, they wouldn't unless they blow up the team and Chicago blows them away with an offer, which is very hard to see. Chicago is dreamland.
