I hope so, it's sad to see someone as dominate as he once was become a journeyman barely hanging on, in Game 4 he looked out of place and just there in the team huddles.

I sure hope it is. He had a fantastic career, no need to just be like this.

I'd like Shaq out of the game. He's a clown and an embarrassment to the NBA.

I hope it is, its so depressing just seeing him play. He clearly doesn't have it no more and needs to put the basketball shoes away for good now.

Sadly it is. He has been carrying around that huge body mass far too long. It's really a shame too because he was the most dominant big man in my generation. So  to shaq on a remarkable HOF career.

How can you say that?? This guy was great for the NBA and a great character. You have some hate towards the guy for some reason.

Yeah, theres no need to tarnish his legacy by continuing to play, it just diminishes his dominant stats in the process like MJ did when he played for the Wizards.

Theres no need to continue playing, we'll always remember how dominant you were big homie.

for sure. it sucks seeing how old, slow, and crap he is. it's so frustrating because in his prime, he'd butt **** any of these players that are in the league right now.

I didn't even think of that. Could you imagine the ratings with shaq on there?? I can definitely see him doing sports shows though. Just hopefully not to ESPN, those guys are a joke.

Webber's not even a full-time cast member though...he'd just go right in and fit perfectly. i really hope he wasn't just joking about joining Inside the NBA and actually joins the show.

He should try pro wrestling.

The most dominant force of this ending era, 4championships he was leadin the lakers on their last 3peat, multiple all stars and all nba teams, plus he has fun while he does the thing he loves the most(playin bball). . .why is he an embarrasment again???

I said why.

He's a fat, obnoxious, idiotic clown.

But I'm sure he'll keep saying he's coming out of retirement so he can keep reading his name in the papers.

LOL. Right. Except he's one of the most popular people in the history of that sport. That "idiotic clown" has made more money than you, your mommy, your daddy, and your brothers and sisters have ever made. So...I don't know how idiotic he is.

He'll retire a Laker, and rightfully so... even though I dislike some of the stuff he pulled in the past, the guy is a legend no question, and most dominant player this game has ever seen in the paint.

Thanks for the career big fella! always remember he and Kobe dominating the league.

He should retire. He made me fall in love with the NBA. I used to like Jordan and the NBA, but this guy made me addicted to the sport. He's had one hell of a career that will forever be remembered. His impact both on and off the court made him who he was - a big goofball who loved his job, and that was to entertain and kick ***.

Retire Diesel, no need to hurt himself more. His legacy is cemented, but I'm ****ing sad

I think Shaq might have tanked it. He wanted to collect a check but did not want to ruin his career and playoff numbers. Just a conspiracy theory.

Please make this easy on yourself and just walk away Shaq. Stop tryin to be Kareem. You had a great career. You are cemented among the all time greats. Go be a cop or join Kenny, Ernie and Chuck on TNT. But watchin you this year was as painful to me as that injury was to you. Father time whupped your *** stop tryin to get back up and enbrace retirement.

Huh? Shaq looked pretty damn good when he was healthy. It didnt last long, but how well he played before the injury made Perkins expendable. The only problem was he never got over the injury.

He is going to be joining Charles, Kenny, and the rest of the guys at TNT! However, I really dnt want Shaq to go out like this. He barely played this season and was a journeyman. He needs to go out on a good note, even if he justs plays half the season next year

fixed. i watched almost every game boston played when shaq was healthy this year. nothing was impressive, heres something that would happen on a regular basis: shaq camps just outside the paint so he doesn't get called for the 3 second violation, rondo penetrates, shaqs man comes off him to help guard rondo, rondo passes to shaq for the easy uncontested layup/dunk.

If he is awesome career shaq easily one of my favorite players of all time. and to all the people that hate on shaq and call him an overweight clown or whatever.

You must be like 13 and never watched shaq when he was the most dominant big man in the NBA listen grab your blankey and a soda and youtube shaq videos or ask your dad or grandpa for story time. Shaq was a fun and enjoyable and amazing athlete
