eh, I thought Monroe would make it, but its a better selection than in some other years. Congrats to those who made it, and their fans.

Monroe should've made it.

Fields showing he was quite easily the steal of the draft.

I would have said so if his play didn't drop when Melo got here. he disappeared the rest of the year. (rookie wall maybe?)

maybe, if he goes to another team. There might now be enough touches for him in NYK to make him a steal unless he goes to another team. Sure he's got talent, but the stats he's going to have is not going to be a good indicating and might hinder his growth. (cuz of Melo, Billups and Amare)

one of the voters gave him a 2nd team vote is what I am saying. Why would any idiot do that?

Jordan Crawford should have received more than 12 (IMO)

agreed, and plus why have 3 guards in the first team? shouldnt it be 2 guards, 2 forwards, 1 center?

rookie team doesn't care about positions. You can have 5 PG's if you want.

How strange to see a 2nd rounder and an undrafted player make the first rookie all team.

I'd have Ed Davis more deserving than Favors, Bledsoe, George and Johnson for 2nd team. I can't believe he was left off entirely. Also think Monroe should be first team instead of Neal.

I'd agree with this. These 5 were most consistently the top of the class throughout the entire year with Neal and Fields showing coaches that rookies have a role on playoff teams.

And with the 2nd pick in the draft the Sixers choose... I'm not sure, I don't recognize his name anywhere :D

Neal over Monroe I can accept for the reason you stated. Neal was performing under expected pressure, on a top team. Monroe was given the freedom of a lottery team midway thru. Much different scenarios.

I see it like this for the Neal/Monroe Debate

Monroe is much more talented and probably will have a better overall career, but the impact that Neal had had him go on the team.

The fact Favours is in over Ed Davis is a ****IN JOKE. The NBA clearly doesn't give a **** about this award and just hands it out like halloween candy. I'd bet my house that if Davis was on the Jazz/Nets and Favours was on the Raps, Davis would 100% be on the 2nd team. Once again NBA showing disrespect to Toronto/Canada.

It sucks but in the end Ed Davis will be a beast. I loved him at UNC and thought he was a steal when he fell down to the Raps pick. He should have made it over Favours, George and Eric Bledsoe.

The argument that his 17 missed games over the season can be valid in evaluating the difference between him and other rookies, but I have to doubt that the voters were taking that into consideration.

Especially when Noah gets 2nd team all defense and he misses almost have a season (not to mention that his team's defensive statistics were better when he subs were on the floor instead of him). And when Paul George makes the team while missing 21 games of the season.

He's got a case for legitimate snub given his competition. He didn't get in because of lack of publicity throughout the season.
