Now I couldn't find any better quality video but here is Rondo attempting to trip Lebron once and actually succeeding the second time. These were two deliberate attempts to try to hurt a player.

I'm not trying to redeem what Wade did, it was wrong and foolish, but you don't trip people in basketball.

This is not fundamental basketball, but the teams benefiting from it and the fans of those teams don't know any better and will tell you it is.

Fundamental defense and what the NBA allows teams to get away with are two completely different things.

All these teams that claim to play defense just get beat off the dribble then gamble for a last ditch attempt by hacking at the player's arms, have a help defender cutting the guy off and pushing him back to force a jumpshot, or just mugging the guy while he's in mid-air.

It was called a foul, so clearly it isn't fundamental defense.

And I laugh at your last paragraph, because that's exactly how Lebron gets ALL of his blocks, by getting beat to the rim and coming from behind to block the ball. And how dare team's play help defense, you know, how good defenses are made.

Seriously, find me a good defense that wasn't good on help defense, that's just an idiotic statement.

the time kg pushes lebron in the face when they were lagging behind a fastbreak was even more dirty... but no one notices it when the heat get hit with cheap shots...

Can people just accept it has been and will continue to be a physical series (on both ends) and stop complaining about every missed call or questionable intent?

Had LeBron James been the one tripping Paul Pierce, Ray Allen or especially Rondo we wouldn't have heard the end of how he's a nasty player and should be suspended etc. But it was done to LeBron by someone else no one sees any issue with it. Oh the double standards that arise when speaking of LeBron James.

This is quite alright, because Lebron is a douche and I'm pretty sure 99 percent of the players in the league would like to punch him in the face. So the only thing Rondo is guilty of is having balls.

This thread is pathetic. No one was hurt. This type of thing happens (and goes unnoticed) all the time! Your team is up 3-1 in the series. Stop crying.

Is there a video of that? Live it was nearly off screen but I was curious about it. I assumed it was just the typical NBA player flail so there was no call.

That was actually a different play. There was the one illegal screen that took out Lebron, but thats not the play I am referring to.

This play was late in the game, the Celtics were breaking down court and just before the camera moved too far you see KG turn and shove Lebron in the face. Completely out of the play and the refs had already turned their attention up court so nothing was called, but THAT was dirty.

I will look for a link later.

Its the playoffs, none of those plays are dirty. LBJ gets tripped, punched, shoved, etc GREAT! Then we have to trip punch shove right back. The Rondo injury was just that, Rondo was being physical, Wade returned the favor. Sadly he messed up his elbow, but this is playoff basketball.

Stop complaining Heat fans, your not going to change perceptions in here

Typical dirty sore loser KG. I was hoping Spolestra put Juwan Howard on the floor to retaliate.

LeBron and KG should somehow just take each other out, and both teams would be much more respected. Fk the two of them.

I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same play. By "off screen" I meant the camera was moving down court and the play was barely visible. I briefly searched youtube and couldn't find it. I'm guessing it wasn't as bad as it may have appeared in that brief second. Nearly all NBA players flail anytime they think it could generate a call.

I didn't see it at first, but my brother skipped back on DVR and the shove was obvious. I have never seen anything like that go uncalled in an NBA game. But I don't care. Heat are a game away from winning the series.

So the Heat fans don't get a call and there's a whining thread about it? Funny how the "inadvertant whistle" in my Bulls game was no big deal, but this is thread worthy. :eyebrow:
