According to the South Florida Business Journal, a company affiliated with Durant bought a $1.825 million unit at 900 Biscayne Boulevard. The company, K. Durant Enterprises, closed on the property on March 30, according to the report. The unit is a three-bedroom, 3,535-square-foot condo.

The 63-story skyscraper is just blocks away from American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat, and only a short drive from Miami Beach. Though it’s unclear why Durant chose to pony up for Miami real estate, Thunder fans shouldn’t worry about Durant taking his talents to South Beach. Durant has maintained his desire to remain in Oklahoma City for as long as possible.

Last summer, Durant signed a five-year contract extension with the Thunder that begins next year and will keep him in Oklahoma City through the 2015-16 season. Also, last month Durant closed on a 3,460-square-foot home in Gaillardia for $1.8 million.

In Miami, Durant will become neighbors with Heat star Dwyane Wade, who is leasing a custom-designed unit inside the high-rise. Durant’s condo, though, is believed to be on the top floor, three floors above Wade’s.

um, half the athletic world owns property in Florida, because they are able to claim it as their main residence and save a ton on taxes.....

Means nothing. Shoot, half the Yankees call Florida, "home" for that very reason. Buy a million house/condo, and save thousands a year in state taxes.

What's the point of this thread? To tell us where Durant will live during summer so we can stalk him?

Gonna park this one.
Since he just reupped with OKC, there's not a whole lot to talk about on this one. He bought a house near the beach.
I'm sure sportscasters will start the rumors that he's going to Miami in a few years, but until then...
