just setting the record straight. the hand never touched the rim. they weren't even close to the rim actually. he just threw it in.

just sick of this "dunk" getting so much acclaim when it wasn't even one.

Doesnt matter if it was a dunk or not. All I know is when I say it live I couldnt stop smiling and I felt bad because it was against a knick player but that was still sick

This is what I said when I first saw this. He's an exciting player, but I find him to be over hyped.

Then, Dwight howard should have been disqualified from the 2008 dunk contest . He put on a cape and dunked from the free throw line and threw the ball in. That was good enough for a 50

Yeah, I remember watching it live and jumped out of my seat when it happened. Then watching the replay, I saw it was just a super layup. One of reasons Wade's over Perkins was the best dunk of the year.

but you just called it a dunk in the title?

also: shame we were robbed of Griffin destroying Gortat. Stupid refs. I was at that game as well :sigh:

Technically, it's considered a dunk..

Basketball To slam a ball through the basket from above.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/dunk

No definition says the hands have to be on the rim, as Blake's were above it.

You can claim what you want.

However, by definition it's a "Dunk" regardless what anyone believes. I myself say it's a skeptical at best and i'm a Clipper fan. But like stated by definition it is absolutely 100% a dunk wether anyone or I disagrees with it.

Besides, anytime you can score a basket and get your dick sucked at the same time is an automatic win in my book! haha

I don't see why this would bug you so much. it was a nice play, Just cause you weren't impressed doesn't mean you can convince others not to be.
Might just have to let this one go.

whether his hand hit the rim or not, i don't know how anyone can call this dunk overrated. i watched this game LIVE. he had one on Gallo that may have been better. he didn't shove Gallo's head into his nuts like he did to Mosgov

a throw down?

Geargo Wallace

This is what I always considered a dunk. Hand touching rim isn't the criterion. The criterion is getting the ball into the hoop by putting the ball into the hoop from above...and throwing the ball downwards...not shooting it upwards initially.

Either way, it was amazing. Probably more amazing/unique because he didn't "hit the rim"...not that that matters.

A layup is just that: a layUP. What's this, a laydown? ;) He didn't push the ball up, he threw it down.
