A Heat-Mavs rematch would be very fun to watch. If that happens I'd like to see the Heat fans chant "Hasselhoff!" again, that was pretty funny

...

Anyways, this would be a really good series. I see the Heat winning it though. Wade cannot be denied against the Mavs. Just imagine Wade crushing Cuban and Dirk's dream again? Wow.

We couldn't match their ancillary (using that term lightly) star power. Wade, Bosh vs. Terry and who? Heat in 6. We did sweep them this year though. Just sayin

Dirk would average 35 and 12, get beat by the clearly better team, and still be called a choker as well. I could live with the result as long as they actually get touched when they go to the FT line

Losing a Finals is tough man. I wouldn't be able to "live" with it in the circumstances the Mavs and their fans are in. You guys are way overdue for a championship and anything short of that this year is a major, major disappointment.

Creating contact is a great skill. I'm just saying, if I see a slew of Marquis Daniels 06 Finals fouls (by fouls I mean literally not touching him), I'm gonna spaz out

settle down. this is way to premature. You heat fans have to worry about the c's first. If you think the c's are going to lay down, you are sadly mistaken. Too early for this talk. Now if the heat and mavs were in their Conference finals, then fine.

That might be the best looking series.
As a Suns fans, as much as it pains me to say, I'd have to pull for Dallas simply because of former Suns Kidd and Marion. Lotta deserving guys on the Mavs who've fought hard to get where they are.

If the HEAT make it to the Finals its destined for them to win. They are playing very good right now as are the Mavs. But I just don't see LBJ & Wade being stopped in the Finals. But would be a great match-up.

edit: need to change poll options. I feel like it's a possibility but the options are no chance or will happen where's the middle choice like maybe.

It's funny that the Heat fans think their series is all over because they won 2 at home and that the Lakers are done because they lost one game at home. I hope they realize they have to go to Boston for 2 games and its not easy to win there. I see the C's taking that series to 7 games and winning it. Meeting up with the Lakers in the finals again.

Well..we'll see about that tonight the Mavs-Lakers series is up in there. To be honest, i don't think the Mavs could stop both LBJ AND Wade..one maybe, but they don't have enough perimeter defenders for both. That zone they play might help though, never know.

Hmm how would a Mavs - Thunder WFC go? I'm not convinced the Mavs have an easy path to the finals after the Lakers.. There could be some serious nightmare match ups against OKC, Kidd/terry guarding Westy? Durant? not to mention Ilbaka and Perk to guard Dirk. IMO OKC matches up very nicely against dallas. do you even watch basketball?? Kidd has been guarding the mamba in crunch time, at other times Stevenson guards him. No different vs okc, Kidd would start out on sefalosha, and Stevenson on Westbrook. jet can easily stay in front of Westbrook and force him to take jump shots, and of course matrix/brewer on KD. Hardly matchup "nightmares", and the fact dirk and KD are both unguardable cancel each other out. if dallas and okc do meet I believe it will be one of the best 7 game series OF ALL TIME

Boston lost Perkins.

And this ain't the same Mavs team. People said Portland would win, people said Lakers could sweep, obviously this team is pretty damn good. If you don't think Dallas can run with Miami, you're crazy.

The Mavs have a great defense, both inside and on the perimeter (Marion, Chandler, Stevenson, Haywood, etc.) The questions really go to Miami: "How does Miami play Dirk?", "How does Miami make up for the strong bench?", etc.

Don't get your hopes up like other teams' fans have. But regardless, it's still against both teams' odds to play eachother in the Finals. Last time I checked the Heat still have to beat Boston and ATL/CHI, whilst the Mavs are dealing with the defending champs and OKC/MEM. Far from over.

Lets just say I think Miami would get some favourable calls.

As for the poll the answer has to be maybe. I had a Mavs - Heat series in the finals this year too.

It would make a great finals give the Mavs a chance for vengence, and Miami a chance to kill mavs fans souls for the second time.

Yeah, this would definitely be a great series.

I just cannot imagine the Heat losing this one though. But Dallas winning would not surprise me at all considering the fashion they've beaten the Lakers. They'll be dealing with a great defensive team though. And an athletic one.

lakers are good and all, but we beat them twice this season, the first time we killed them. No one on the lakers will prevent wade or lebron from carving them up. And no one can play D on kobe better than wade. I think heat would be the lakers in 6. But first we have to take care of these celtics.

This is true. Lebron is just a match-up nightmare against the Lakers.

And Kobe cannot stay in front of players like Wade anymore.

I would love a rematch, but lets first see how everything plays out.

Lol, u thought the refs helped Wade, now they got Lebron to call fouls for. lol...it might be over for the Mavs

and the celtics are 3-1 against the heat

Not to mention you played the heat really early in the season. With our defense and athleticism, dallas would get run over.

Like i said, this isnt the same heat team as even a month ago.

im not hating or nothing but i don't think it would be as easy as you make it seem...i'm a laker fan and if they beat us well i can see them in the finals against miami. but matchs i think dallas has the advantage aside from wade and lebron the mavs have everything else covered. their bench is far better and a lot deeper than your. i think the mavs would win but im not 100% sure. chandler and dirk would carve your team up in the paint. would be an exciting series though

Honestly I think the Mavs would MUCH rather face Rose and the Bulls than face Dwade and Bron.

Although I'd pay money to watch Lebron check Dirk for 7 games.

The Lakers just met their worst match-up nightmare. They're done.

The heat will meet their worst matchu-up nightmare when they face the mavs.

Seems quite possible. The mavs are off to a good start and will likely win the series against the lakers. In the conference finals, the series can go either way. I dont see how anyone on the thunder could possibly defend Dirk. Potentially, the Mavericks willl reach the nba finals and will likely face the heat if the heat beats the bulls. The heat have 3 solid go to options while the bulls have one. If rose gets limited, the bulls are in trouble. Seems likely that a mavericks Vs Heat Finals may occur. Stern may cause influence on the matchup for TV ratings.

I wouldn't even watch the Finals if this was the match-up. There's no way in hell the Mavs are making it past LA and I'd bet my car the Heat don't get past the Bulls next round.

You must drive a real pile.
