Despite falling to the Lakers in six games this postseason, Chris Paul sounds satisfied with the direction the Hornets are taking.
Paul praised coach Monty Williams and GM Dell Demps, noting that they "worked together and talked on a regular basis. In the past, we had GMs and coaches that didn’t communicate.’’ Williams noted that CP3 may not have been allowed to play at his highest level because (as an elite playmaker) he needs better personnel around him, something the team will try to address during the summer. Sounds like good news for the Hornets organization , and its fans. I was deciding wheather this was hornets news or NBA news. Hopefully i made the right decision by posting this in the NBA Forum. Hearing this news Just increases the chances of the hornets retaining Chris paul.

He was dominant up until game six. I hope NOH can put a contender around him, he deserves it.

NOH progress? He's being humble. He should have said he's satisfied with this own progress because that Hornets team is all him.

would be great for orlando, but would suck for new orleans. I just hope both Paul and Howard can stick with their current teams and win with their teams.

Knicks picked up option on billups, perhaps theyre going to go after deron instead?

Actually no. Knicks can't go after a game changing Pg unless someone is stupid enough to give a bunch of assests for Billups. C'mon that aint happening.

Knicks might try to target howard, they wont have enough money for paul.

No way DI2 goes to the Knicks. They only have a little bit of cash in there pocket. I doubt Dwight goes for cheap. He should demand the same type of contract Paul will get.

There's one problem with superstars saying this. Their team's progression and success hinges on their play! If Paul had a bad game or series they wouldn't have won a single game. Paul isn't stupid. He sees the supporting casts that Rondo, Rose and Westbrook have.

I really don't want another superteam ..

I'm all for Chris Paul staying in N.O., hopefully they can get some good talent around him to compete because the West is aging, it may be their time to win soon.

in many ways the west injury was a blessing in disguise. he's probably their softest big, and because of the injury he is forced to stay another year. if he is healthy, they still lose to the lakers, and he leaves for free agency.

Not with teams like OKC and Memphis getting better every yr that passes. Paul could resign with the Hornets but how many of his prime yrs can he give away with this team getting bounced early in the PS.

Same here. Superteams ruin the nba. I hope the Hornets organization can continue to build around Chris paul and make him convinced that theyre building a contender.

orlando is going to trade jameer, gilbert and hedo for chris paul and ariza...chris paul gets more money(than anywhere other than NO) while getting a superstar teammate

Why would the hornets take 2 garbage contracts and give up two good players? Trades are soupposed to help both teams. If the Hornets are going to give up paul, they should give him up for Young all star caliber players along with picks and salary cap flexibility. The NBA would not trade chris paul for garbage. They bought the francaise with intentions of reselling it for a profit. They cant gain a profit by trading away chris paul. They also cant gain a profit by trading an all star point guard for two garbage contracts plus a decent pg. That just wont work or ever happen.
