They have Durant. Then the list is a little weird. Who is your first round MVP?

idk, for who joel is and what he did in that series against philly, it was great. But cant argue KD being first

If Memphis wins I got to go with Zach Randolph.

Wow... Not even a mention for Rondo? Look what he did and tell me that it isn't MVP worthy. I guess they don't count MVP's for sweeps?

Marc Gasol or Dirk Nowitzki.

look who they were playing against...

Understandable... but it's still the NBA playoffs. You can say the same thing about Joel Anthony then.

Dirk or Z-Bo

Most predicted their team would be eliminated but because of Dirk, the Mavs advanced and because of Z-Bo, the Griz are also likely to advance...

Durant.

04-29-2011, 01:20 PM
Melo.

Singlehandedly almost won 1 game.

Melo.

Singlehandedly almost won 1 game.

Durant did singlehandedly win 1 game, therefore Melo is automatically eliminated.

I don't think teams that lost you should be included (Sorry CP3).

If grizz get it done then Z-Bo should be tops.

My top 4

Z-bo
KD
Dirk
Crawford

I didn't pick players from the Bulls, Heat, and Celtics. Because they all should have had no problems and they really didn't (Bulls 4-1, Heat 4-1, Celtics 4-0)

I just have to reflect here on the fact that ZBo and Crawford have been mentioned by a few folks. Two of the guys that the Knicks had to dump for the LeBron sweepsatkes. Two guys that were widely derided by Knicks fans as never being able to win anything.

ZBo, Lee, Crawford, Chandler, Gallo, QRich, N8, Jeffries, Duhon. Or if you backed it up to the summer before, maybe Eric Gordon or Anthony Randolph instead. Last year, instead of redundant draft choices of Jordan Hill and Toney Douglas (Lee and N8) you make the pick that made the most sense for us, Jrue Holiday. And if we stuck with Gallo or went with Randolph, maybe Meeks with that bought 2nd pick. Knicks still would have had expiring to trade if they had wanted to, and would have more picks going forward. Not a finished or sterling product, but we could have gone out in the first round two years earlier than we did, and have a deeper team no matter how we went, and that without making any trades that would have been prudent.

But I digress. The point is that two guys that were trash and would never get you to the playoffs are now getting mention as possible MVPs of first round.

I'm pretty sure that's failure to detect your own son, but yeah.

KD was without a doubt the best player on a winning team. Efficient/timely scores, best turnover percentage, just flawless. CP3 - the maestro - takes the gold-plated silver.

And yeah, Rondo was incredible as always come playoff time.

Id say Z Bo though I hate him. if he is the best player leading the 8th seed past the West #1 he deserves the first round vote, but not MVP for the league at atll

That's actually a late sign of Alzheimers, but we're not here to argue about Alzheimers. We're here to argue about which player is the MVP of the first round. This isn't proalzheimersdaily.com. It's prosportsdaily.com. You should know because you wouldn't be here if you had typed the first address...

Back on topic, Rondo wasn't incredible. What's incredible is that the Knicks defense couldn't figure our how to stop him until they finally put in Anthony Carter, the only true PG on the roster by the way. Well, in game three they also put on a solid run with Carter in the lineup but he only got to play five minutes before he was taken out of the game for good, giving Rondo all the space he needed to create.

Z-bo = made history

- First playoff win in Memphis history
- First home playoff win in franchise history
- Only the second team in history in the 8th spot to take out the 1 seed

Plus he was a monster. Damn shame that sob Love took his all star spot while not contributing to winning actual games, smh.
