Has a MIP ever won the award with a record as bad as Love's?

 Danny Granger got it 2 years ago and his team missed the playoffs

he didnt really improve that much to be honest
same skill set as last year basically. he was a better 3P shooter, i'll give him that

last year he put up 14/11. thats really good
this year with 7 more minutes a game, he put up 20/15
not that ridiculous for him to raise those numbers, is it?

but congrats to him

I totally understand why he won the award, but I think you make a good point. His numbers per 36 went up up in points and rebounds by 3 & 1.5 respectively, but fell in assistaps, blocks, and steals. However his shooting numbers got better and he turned it over less. He definitely got better and his stats improved, but I think a lot of that could be attributed to increased minutes and the fact that he had the ball more. Either way, good for him and I hope that he keeps getting better and that his team does as well.

If Love didn't raise his numbers much from last year, and his numbers this year are VERY similar to Griffins, why didn't get get a Griffin-esk following last year?

Answer that, Griffin supporters.

It's all about ESPN endorsements and dunks for you fans. You don't care if Love out-rebounds the other team and gets a putback for 2, you care that Griffin got an oop to the rim and dunked over someone.

2pts = 2pts.

While I have no problem with Love winning this award, it really should go to Derek Rose and the MVP should go to Dwight Howard.

hit a ton more 3's, 56 straight double doubles, PER +3.7, Offrtg +110, win shares +6.5, TS% + .43%, ran away with the rebounding crown, etc.

He made big improvements guys. Minutes wasn't just it.

Great job Love. Now get him some help Kahn

He had the best story, no surprise he won it but he definitely didnt improve the most, he may have made the hardest leap according to some but not the MOST IMPROVED

And we all know Kia has a spotless track record on being unbiased and picking players to receive awards.

Kia doesn't choose the award winners, reporters in the media vote on it.

Dorell Wright should have won the award.

He scored more points this season than he did in his first 6 seasons combined. Dont get me wrong, Love is better than Wright but Wright is the MOST IMPROVED.

I don't even like love or minny, but he clearly deserved this.
