I do have cable but I admit it's a huge waste of both money and time, and since time=money, even more money. It's funny because there are so many channels and yet so little that's interesting to watch. And yet watching TV is so addicting that people sit in front of it, wasting time looking for things to watch, when really there's nothing on but garbage. Meanwhile you could be spending time with your kids, parents, family, etc, furthering your own career, love life, or just doing something that stimulates your mind rather than numbing it. The only reason I have cable is to watch basketball. I'll admit it's not worth nearly 100 per month to watch 4-5 Knicks games and maybe a couple TNT matchups. But there's a million reasons to not have or want cable.

I just hate how the playoffs seem to drag on as long as the entire season. Seriously...if you went to the full 7 games in every series...that's 28 games. That's like 1/3 of the regular season. That's just insane.

And the fact that they have 2-3 days off in between most games in the first and second rounds.

Pretty sure all the Saturday games will be on ESPN3.com. If not all of them, the three not on ABC will be. You should be able to watch all of them  The TNT games should be your only problem, but again, it shouldn't be hard to find a way to figure out a way to watch it online.

ESPN3 is actually really good quality, and a few seconds ahead of the TV broadcast most times.

Can you take an educated guess on how well espn3 streaming videos would run on 1gb internet? :)

EDIT: Never mind I just checked and it works perfectly fine. =)

Justintv.com will allow you to watch online.

That being said get cable

Is the account on justin.tv free to create? Is there a catch, seems too good to be true lol

That's an easy answer here in Vegas. Sports Bar, There is one on every corner of the city. Some casinos throw Playoff parties where they play the games on Movie theatre size screens.

Having so many games on cable is definitely a problem and has hurt the NBA. ABC/ESPN deal should always be viewed as terrible whether you have cable or not.

It least it's not hockey where playoff games aren't even on national TV period. Baseball is the same as the NBA. It's impossible for any sport besides football to have all their playoff games on cable TV. Literally impossible.

At least your only problem is lack of cable(albeit, an enormous problem).

When I first saw the thread title I thought you were going to be on some ol David Stern conspiracy theorist the winners are already picked, David Stern knows where Jimmy Hoffa is burried and knows all about area 51 aliens type stuff......

Whew, what a relief!!

yeah... apparently you don't have kids. Those days where they drive me crazy if the satellite goes out for a few minutes. Yeah I'm glad I spend 100 a month w/ directv.

During the 90's it was extremely easy to steal cable, these days they'll catch your fairly quick, and a fine awaits you.

I miss the 90's... the nba on nbc was also nice.

It is in reality. I don't get why people are harping on the guy for not having cable. Some people have priorities, like eating and having the means to get to work. That all comes before cable. It's sad people act A's if cable is a necessity these days.
