After recently watching Ty Lawson's incredible performance of 10 consecutive 3pt FGs made it brought me back to 2007 when Jamal Crawford went off for 16 straight FGs made vs. the Miami Heat.

Which is the more impressive performance?

I would go Crawford because:

A: It was against better competition

B: He had to make a variety of shots, many contested unlike lawsons

C: It was in the mecca of basketball Madison Square Garden

However both are great feats

People not voting for equally amazing did not see Jamal's performance. i remember it like it was yesterday.

Jamal. i like how Ty shot all those 3's but the way jamal was shooting it seem like he should have missed half of them. plus he want for 52 that night which is the icing on the cake

Jamal. Most of the shots were from the 3-pt line and then the others were either mid range and crazy drives. Lawson was crazy shooting but damn Jamal had a 3 + a foul.

Jamaal. A lot of them were open for ty. Jamaal shot more and of a tougher variety

Ty was just spotting up and shooting and although hitting 10 straight three's in a row is remarkable, Jamal was hitting such a variety of shots, all with a lot harder difficulty factor.

Also going for 52 in MSG is pretty special as well..

Jamal was hitting the most ridiculous shots I have ever seen, a bunch of 3s and a 4 point play, crazy off balance layups, all with DWade hounding his jock.......one of the best performances I have ever seen

Just watched both, 10 3s is a great feat but all his 3s were open catch and shoot 3s........Jamal was hitting crazy off dribble pullups, fadeaways, kamakaze layups and all types of ridiculous shots........

this without point c though the arena has nothing to do with the perfomance of a player imo

both were great

but i think crawfords was better

10 Threes in a Row because they're all from long range, where 16 Made FGs in a Row can be all lay ups and dunks.

10 threes in a row is pretty impressive. Props to TL for that...should have not shot that last one but hey, he was playing to the crowd.

none are really impressive, but a FG could be 16 completed dunks...

but 10 3 pointers is good.

lol at the ppl saying 16 fg's can be 16 completed dunks. this is jamal crawford were talking about if he had 16 dunks in a row, id be just as impressed.

ty, ty was hitting 3 pointers... ty was EVEN shooting 4 pointers (Far from the 3 point line).... tys breaking RECORDS!!!

Going off the video, Lawson's looked more impressive to me. I mean, some of those were 5 feet behind the three point line and one was almost a turn around three. It was outrageous.

C'mon man, did you even read the thread?? It wasn't a hypothetical 16 fgs in a row, it was a specific performance with 16 made fgs against another specific performance where the player made 10 threes in a row.

If Craw's 16 fgs in a row doesn't impressive you, what would?? It's your personal opinion, but I just find it hard to believe making 16 fgs in a row in an NBA came for a sg like craw, to not be impressive.

Both are wildly impressive, but I've long held that the three point shot is not even close to the most difficult shot in basketball and thus Jcraw's 16 in a row for me was much more impressive. *I do want it to be abundantly clear that i think what TY did was amazing as well.

Crawford, no way you can argue otherwise.

Lawson. Lawson's were all from a deeper range and some of Jamal's were probably layups.

Crackadalic

ty Lawson hit some impressive 3's but come on its against the wolves without Kevin Love. jamal crawford hit 16 straight FG's against a good heat team and out of those 16 3 were layups. the rest were contested 3 and 2 pointers.

D-Leethal

Why are people commenting and voting if you aren't even going to view each performance. Nearly every one of Jamals shots were more difficult than all of Lawsons 3s.......an open catch and shoot 3 is not as difficult as nearly any of the shots Jamal made.......'They could be all dunks'......yea? They weren't....watch the freakin vid

Honestly if you watch the 2 youtube vids its not even close.......Props to Ty for setting records.....but Jamals performance was better and way more difficult considering the difficulty of shots he was drilling......

It wasent against new york he was with the Knicks and he did it against D Wade and the heat plus most of the shots were contested 3's and pull up twos as somebody mentioned only 3 of the shots were layups I think both are great though but Jamal had a monster game that night scoring 52 in multiple ways including a 4 point play.

Doesnt change the fact that Ty 3's were mostly uncontested. Jamals wasnt

Crawford was making insanely difficult shots and although Lawson was taking uncontested 3 point shots, they were around 4 ft away from three. I vote both lol

10 3's in a row. It' s hard enough doing that with no one guarding you.

I'd give it to Jamal because he was mixing it up and playing against a tough defender. Prps to Ty though.

I didnt see the videos before i voted so I wanna change my vote to Crawford. I forgot how amazing his performance was,so many of his shots were mid to long range! God I wish the Bulls had him right now he would be the missing 2 guard we need for this run for the championship.

Clearly Jamal's performance

Against Wade
Better competition
Literally blew out the Heat himself
16 consecutive shots from everywhere
Not hard to decide

I <3 Lawson and wished we drafted him, he's capable of doing that and more.
For the Q though its clearly Jamal.

Surprisingly close vote. Maybe because Crawford's were probably all dunks. But Lawson got lucky because if Kevin Love had played he would have locked him down on the perimeter. These comments kill me.
