Derrick Rose should be #1

Obviously, but you have to play more then 5 seasons to make the list which is why guys like him, Westbrook or Durant aren't on the list.

Jameer way too low. Top 100 for sure ;)

Shaq at 4 is a little high, but not laughable. In his prime, I think he was the best big man ever.

I was looking over the list at Barnes & Noble yesterday.
All I have to say is .
Wilt scond, and Russell third?! Are you kidding me?! No way, Kobe is 10th on that list, even the biggest Kobe haters would put him around 8th. Wilt and Russell arent top 5 IMO. Top 5 is:
Jordan
Magic
Kareem
Oscar
Timmy or Jerry.

Shaq is too high, Kobe should be at least 1 higher than 10 if anything (8-9). Larry Bird is too low. Magic Johnson is top 3 in my eyes. Nice to see Pau Gasol in the top 100 as well.

Jerry West over Wilt or Russell? YOU have to be kidding. His impact PALED in comparison to Wilt and Russell. He was outstanding, yes, but the guy was never even MVP, and he had a single ring.

He is not in the same tier as those two, let alone ahead of them.

I wonder if people realize how incredible those two would be even in todays NBA? Wilt was a 7foot+ world class high jumper with as much control of the game as any big short of Hakeem.

Maybe, you right about Jerry. But I still think that, Wilt shouldn't be included in the top 5. The league that he played in was relatively weak, and he never had any height competition. Players were less athletic etc.
Also about the "Jerry West only has 1 ring". Wilt only had one ring too. I think Chamberlain is over hyper, no question his an amazing athlete and a great player but no where near Top 5.
Russell's main argument are his rings. Because he was never offensively minded, and was pretty much a defensive presence. A GREAT defensive presence.

News flash West and Wilt are from the same era, an era that I'm almost certain you don't know enough of, to make these claims. He also won 2 rings in a time when Russells celtics hogged them all.

Wilt has a case for #1 depending on what you value (peak, longevity, prime run ).

News flash West and Wilt are from the same era, an era that I'm almost certain you don't know enough of, to make these claims. He also won 2 rings in a time when Russells celtics hogged them all.

Wilt has a case for #1 depending on what you value (peak, longevity, prime run ).

I know that they are from the same era. Wilt and West won a championship together, in 72. Still, ask anyone, no one would put him in a better spot than 5.

Thomas led the team to back to back titles in the MAGIC.BIRD and YOUNG Jordan era....go figure.
Dr J is one of the best players ALL TIME, i would place him in my top 10.
He also won a ring and Aba ring.
Robinson? a dude that got his team consistently good forever and won multiple rings? the firs one leading the team?
Barkley? a hell of a COMPLETE player who could do everything score, deffend, rebound and whatever playing against TALLER players .

Nah, 20 at least.

And as i said there are much more players that could be ARGUEAD over him like DOminique, like Worhty like Mikkelsenlike baylor, like Cowens, like Maravich, like Pippen and so on and on.

Thomas led a stacked team with the best defense in that era. I am not giving him credit for that alone, no way. Garnett's numbers and effect on both sides of the floor crap on Zeke.

Dr. J is not top 10 all time. Absolutely not.

Robinson was a great all around player, but he didn't win his ring until the best PF of all time came to his already contending team.

Did you use Barkley and defense in the same sentence?

Top 20 in points, rebounds, blocks all time. Arguably the best passing PF to play. Tenacious defender, and one of the top 3 players in his era. Garnett is already a top 20 player.

if you think about it, jason kidd has done more in his career compared to KG. kidd has at least carried his team into the finals and is one of the best passing/rebouding PGs of all time. KG on the other hand failed to carry his team to the finals when he was in his prime.. till he came to boston and won one . there is no way he is a top 20 player with no ring when he was the "one" to bring his team to the promise land . Vince should not be in the top 150 IMO, hasn't done anything in his career. Had 4 great years and got to the East semi's once while being a huge premadonna. He doesn't deserve to be that high. Guys like Peja Stojakovic should be much higher who was considered larry-esk in terms of jump shots and lit the league up and had loads of playoff success in his career.

Also Hakeem, should be top ten, the fact he isn't is a crying shame. Best center of all time after Shaq and in terms of skill level, he's arguably the most skilled ever at his position. 13th doesn't do him justice.

Il Mago50

Also Lebron and Wade should be switched in this list. Lebron should be 49th or out of the top 50 until he actually wins something. If Dominique isn't ranked very high while possessing more talent then a lot of guys before him because he never won a ring, Lebron should get the same treatment.

Wade carried his team and has a ring already, he deserves to be in Lebron's spot. He's the closest thing to Jordan other then Kobe that we've ever had in this league.
