A few minutes ago, while being interviewed on WAXY AM 790 The Ticket's The Dan LeBatard Show with Stugotz, Mark Cuban called David Stern's "silencing" of Stan van Gundy earlier this season a "douche" move.

Link forthcoming.

Good, but he should have been more vulgar. Stern is far more than simply a douche.

never been a fan of Cuban, he draws too much attention to himself when the focus should be on the players BUT beaking off to stern directly, when he KNOWS a fine will likely be headed his way deserves some applause.

To clarify, Cuban didn't come out on his own and call Stern a douche. He was playing a recurring game on the LeBatard show called "Douche or No Douche" and was asked whether Stern, in silencing Van Gundy, was being a "douche or no douche." Of course, Cuban could have declined to answer the question (as he did when asked whether referee Bennett Salvatore is a douche or not) but he came right out and said, quite assertively, "douche." And laughed.

Not a Cuban fan, but thats amazing. haha...love it.

Those two should hang out and have a douche party. Stern can bring the floral scented douche and Cuban can bring the melon flavored.

Classic!

Owners should only be famous if they've done something noteworthy elsewhere. Otherwise, shut your rich trap and **** off...

Lol, Stern is far beyond a simple douche.

Um, generally people rich enough to buy a basketball team is probably already famous from how they became rich. Like Cuban being one of the biggest winners in the .com boom in the mid to late 90's. You just wish you had his money, quit hatin.

if by mafioso-esque, you mean tattle on you to your bosses, then yes. But it looks like Cuban does not have a boss.

Being a .com billionaire is worthy of a two minute segment on CNN and that's about it. Now if he was an actor, musician, or some kind of national hero, fine.

I don't have a problem with Cuban running his mouth. At least he's honest, tells it like it is, and isn't afraid of people in power.

Actors and musicians, generally, need to STFU. They don't contribute all that much to society and, like athletes, they are vastly overrated and overcompensated. As for national heros, yes, they can horde as much fame as they'd like.

I'm not the biggest Cuban fan but he's great for the NBA & a all around good personality to have in sports.

I have no problem with him speaking his mind & sticking up for Van Gundy at the same time.

This will just add to the list of memorable Mark Cuban moments that we've come to expect in the past.
