The mlb has the traditional first pitch so should the nba have a traditional first free throw?

Edit: instead of traditional I mean ceremonial.

No. The reason being that the NBA has a jump ball. In baseball, the away team hits first. In basketball, who gets the ball first is determined by who gets the jump ball.
