So what do you think? Am I just a wishful thinking Celtics fan in hoping that the Celtics will hit their stride in the playoffs and these guys are revving it up too early?

Exactly. Lakers do not peak, they keep an even kiel win or lose... they'll be playing in late may and into june.

If anyone peaks early it is most likely the Heat b/c of Lebron who had his cavs with the best record in basketball in two successive seasons and then did nothing in the playoffs.

No, but KG, Pierce, and Ray Ray peaked like 4 years ago.

The Heat have not peaked yet. But I do agree neither have the Lakers

no lakers lost back to back home games. they arent exactly peaking.

miami had to pull it together, or every one would think they failed,

answer is no. they both needed to get rolling and thats what they did.

They won't peak till the playoffs. That is wishful thinking on your part.

Both teams have a lot of vets and playoff experience. I am pretty sure there will be gas in the tank come playoffs.

Neither team has peaked...but then again I've never been a believer of that "peak too early" theory

The Celtics peaked and no one talks about them anymore because they are done. The Heat have a slim chance (because the East is so horrible) but not to get to the Finals, but to just keep from losing in the 1st round. Beyond that, The Heat will be the Cavs of every year, best team in the regular season only to not even make it to the Finals. The Lakers on the other hand, they have yet to play at their best. Other teams better hope they dont reach their peak fully because if they do I smell sweep left and right.

I remember LA finishing the year 4-7 last year, so I don't think they really care about the regular season one bit. You want to peak in the playoffs, and get better round by round. Heck your a Celtics fan, you should know, Boston finished the year 27-27 last season

both teams can lose out/win out and it still wouldn't matter, playoffs is a new season where you get a lot of rest time between games

yeah, people forget that the Lakers lost these past 3, where they actually played 5 games in 7 days with 2 back to backs. It's not really an excuse, but they're not built for stretches like that. They're not an up and down team, nor a young team with athletcism. That's really why they're tough to beat in the playoffs, they out grind and out execute teams, and with a rest of atleast a day between games if not 2, they get re-energized. Same deal with the Celtics IMO.

Haven't the Lakers "peaked" in June the last 2 years? I am a stats guy, so I kinda think that reading into any struggle the Lakers may have had this year is futile.
