http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/04/06/bulls-fan-curses-at-spits-on-grant-hill%E2%80%A6-wait-grant-hill/

Grant Hill is about the least offensive guy in the NBA. Even Jalen Rose gets along with him now. Hill doesn’t trash talk, has fought back from devastating knee injuries to be a key player again, doesn’t scare the rich corporate CEOs in the luxury boxes.

But apparently Hill offends one Bulls fan who couldn’t contain himself after the Bulls win over Phoenix Tuesday, Paul Coro relates in the Arizona Republic.

As Hill left the floor after the game, he was held back from a fan who he said cursed and spit at him.

“He said some profanity and spit in my direction,” Hill said. “I’m not going to let somebody spit at me. He knew he did wrong because he took off running.”

Hill was held back by security, who caught the fan.

“I just saw the anger in his face,” (Vince) Carter said. “When you see Grant like that, you know something’s up. Grant doesn’t say anything to anybody. He competes and does his job.”

What, did Hill say he prefers New York style thin-curst pizza? Or as SBNs’ Tom Ziller suggested, did Hill say Dwight Howard was MVP?

I’m not going to let one idiot Bulls fan color the entire fanbase, Chicago is a great city with great sports fans… but seriously, Grant Hill? Chicago, you’ve got to stop opening up the doors to the asylum.

As a Bulls fan, let me be the first to say that's a disgusting and horrible thing to do to anybody, let alone a class-act and NBA legend like Grant Hill.

But to classify other Bulls fans the same way because of one idiot is just wrong. Like Switch mentioned, every team has these kind of fans.

Dude, yeah it does. I heard Bulls fans are planning on passing around balloons to fill with their spit during the game so at the half and when the game ends they can pelt the opposing team with spit filled balloons. I can't believe this, so classless. What is wrong with Chicago?!

The fact that it was a Bulls fan is largely irrelevant. They have classless, worthless fans in the mix just like any other large fanbase (looking at you, LA Dodgers).

i was at the game yesterday and saw this little B***H getting handcuffed by security and taken away he had to be between the ages of 19-25 dressed like a thug. Even when security had him in control he was swearing and kicking!!! i mean everywhere u go there are going to be idiots just happened to be yesterday that it was a bulls fan.

The point is clearly don't base you judgement regarding a whole group of people based on one stupid idiot who probably knew nothing about basketball because if he did he would know what a classy person Grant Hill actually is!!!

like some ppl said earlier, every team's got fans like that.

Cavs first game in Miami this season.. two people were wearing Cleveland jerseys and got disrespected BAD. Yelled at, swung at, drinks & food thrown at them, and then they got escorted out of the building.

If there's another side to that story, then go ahead and share, but the video looked BAD.

The Bulls fan who did decided to spit at Hill is pretty messed up though.

grant hill was heading to the locker room when a couple of my buddies started chanting towards him saying

"Fab Five rocks"
"Grant Hill you f*uckin suck"

then the comment that put him over the edge was

Their a lot better this year. They get a little bit more rowdy when there are more important games, like tomorrow's against the Celtics. They'll be loud just like they were against the Heat. Come playoff time... the UC will be fired up. For the first time since the Jordan era, we're actually an elite team so they ****in better be fired up.

They act indifferent if its Asik, Brewer, CJ, Deng, or anybody else at the FT line.

If you actually think that, then the only thing that has been established here is that you are an imbecile. One rogue fan does not mean that an entire fan base is "garbo" (btw, what does that even mean?). The spitting incident is unacceptable and should not be ignored but to cast aspersions on an entire group because of it is simply stupid. Period.

Most people seem to understand that there's 3 really major cities in the United States. in the East you have New York. In the midwest you have Chicago. and in the west you have Los Angeles.

Magichero3 just out of curiosity what makes Orlando great?

I get that they have Disney world and Sea World but neither of those can hold a candle to the Dells or Six Flags when we want to go to an amusement park it's just a little more out of the way but way better.

But when you don't want to go to an amusement park there's a great night life and food.

Chicago is great for the same reason as LA, NY, London, Tokyo, Moscow its because of a combination of historical significance, business center, population, and architecture.

Also the post about Bulls haven't been good was funny considering Orlando has never won a championship to the Bulls 6

Based on this thread, I think there is no rational choice but to believe that all Magic fans are stupid.

Oh wait, that is the kind of reasoning that "magic hero" relies upon. Nice sig btw. What a sad, lonely, unintelligent little 23 year old.

There are people like this in every fan base, lets not direct it towards only one.

this incident hurts the bulls fans image regardless if it's 1 person

this is the same bull **** like yankee fans and cliff lee's wife. Cmon be smart, you can't group an entire fan base by 1 *** holes actions. Yankee stadium seats 54,000 drunk fans, idk about chicago's arena but there is bound to be 1 person out there who can't handle himself after a couple drinks. This stuff happens at every every every and for clarity every sports stadium, just not always reported.

So what? I feel bad for Hill because no one should have to be spit on, but there are some ****ed up people in this world. Every team has idiot fans that do **** like this.

Yeah of course if you're narrow minded enough to group people up and view everyone as one human being then yeah I can see that. Now if you view people as individuals and each person no matter where they live, what they wear, who they hang out with is accountable for their own actions and it doesn't represent those around them then it would seem you are on the right track.

:facepalm:where theres smoke, theres fire...if a bulls fan spits on GRANT HILL...i'll use common logic and theorize more bad incidents happen...i don't know how many other fan bases spit on the most respected player in the NBA...it looks horrible no matter how you try to spin it

This thread has run it's due course. This was not an opportunity to bash a fan base as a whole. One person's actions can't be extrapolated to a group as a whole...

A lot of you aren't showing much class yourself here.
