1. Spurs- Like the team philosophy, love Popovich and Duncan, and just like the team in general. Also, I REALLY wanted the Celtics to draft both Blair and Anderson in their respective drafts, so the Spurs kind of just do what I wish the Celtics did... and they are in the West, which means that if they won the Lakers lost, as well as teams like Chicago/Orlando/Miami/etc.

2. Suns- Fastbreak teams, despite not being what I personally like in a team, are fun to watch, and Nash is one of my favorite players ever. I also like Hill and Dudley.

3. Oklahoma City Thunder- Nice young talent, Perkins is one of my favorite players.

I'm a Celtics fan, though, so I'd prefer that we beat one of these teams in the finals than to see them win. I've always wanted to see the C's beat Duncan's Spurs in the finals, because I actually really like/respect that organization. It would be a bit less... stressful, I suppose, then playing the hated Lakers again.

Chicago - tough to hate this team, and they have won with minimal drama.
OKC - there are good young teams, and then there are good hungry, hard-working teams (see above). These guys have takeover superstars, but they still all buy into the team concept.
This is pretty much blasphemy coming from a Nuggets fan, but of anyone else in the running, I guess the Spurs. Again, I think hard work, fundamentals, defense and team play should be rewarded, and this team, alongside my Nugs, define that.

Denver (just to spite Melo)
Phoenix (if they make it- and to spite Amare)

not against NYK fans, but i don't like those two players. And the fact people regard Amare as an elite big man- which he is not (neither averaged 20-10 either cept 1 season long time ago nor proven a winner)

and Melo, just for being a whiny player who forced his team to trade him. Play out your contract with the team you signed with - its called a contract to begin with.

And I love the Lakers to win the whole thing, but if there was a another team, it would be Denver. Karma's a *****. As long as Lebron is still in the East, Melo won't make it to the Finals- ever.

Talk to Cleveland about how much New York fans have been "suffering." You and Boston especially are the last people who should use the word "suffering" when talking about sports.

1) Cleveland, heck of a fanbase, even though the team sucks they still rank as one of the leagues top in attendance, if you saw the LAC game in which they broke the losing streak the Q was STILL packed.

2) Seattle(NOT OKC), great fanbase, team stolen. Still had pretty high attendances even when their team was ripped apart before the move..(Ray Allen traded, Rashard Lewis)

3) Kings- Deserve one after that Lakers fiasco. Had an amazing fanbase in the glory years..

4) NYK, I want them to win every year now until the Cavs are at least respectable again, which knowing Cleveland could be a while...

Well I'm a Bulls fan and SPurs fan. So I guess my OTHER top 3 would be something like...

1. Nuggets - Would be real cool to see a team win a 'ship without a true star, like the 04 Pistons again.
2. NY - Ironic I would put them right after Denver, but this pick is not because of Melo, it's more just to see a talented 7th seed team win a 'ship and see MSG win a 'ship.
3. Orlando - Dwight would really have to step up his game.

I would hate to see Heat win it all. Mavericks is fun to make fun of. Celtics, too many of my friends would rub that in my face, as would my Laker friends. Thunder, OKC would have a 'ship way too fast.

Herrrre we go again... For you to say Amare is not an elite big man, makes you very ignorant, cuz even someone who HATES Amare will tell you he's elite. November-January, Amare was easily the best PF in the game.

for you to say Melo is whiny... Also showes your ignorance. Melo never once asked Denver to trade, and didn't force Denver to trade him, Yes, he might have hinted for Denver to trade him, but he never whined about and quite frankly was playing out his contract. Denver didn't have to trade him, but they chose to out of fear he would walk away from the Franchise and they would get nothing in return. So please sir do you're homework. Yes, I agree. At least 'Melo played it out, he even got the Nuggets organization some extremely nice pieces for him.. Look what LeBron did, led the Cavs on until the very end and look where they are now..

I think teams learned from that whole experience and are more willing to deal their superstars if the right offer appears.

Screw everyone who doesn't have the Knicks in their top 3, we've been suffering for too long =/. We certainly deserve it more than OKC who robbed Seattle of their team!

Lol, the Knicks are one of the last teams I want to see win it all, only just ahead of the Heat. I don't want to see these types of teams win. I don't want that to become the successful model in the NBA. And there are a lot of fans who agree with me, so don't expect a lot of non Knicks fans to be jumping on their bandwagon and start rooting for them if they get close to a championship.

And to answer the original question, out of teams that at least have somewhat of a chance, it is:

Bulls
Nuggets
Spurs

3. Denver (but only if its against the knicks)

Spurs - McDyess deserves a ring.
Clippers- Come out of the Lakers shadow.
Portland- Lots of tough breaks with a ton of talent.

1. Knicks

I don't care about the other teams winning.

2. Spurs- respect Duncan and Gregg Popovich
3. Celtics- even though they are a division rival, I love the way they approach the game,KG is one of my favorite players.

Heat fans are so cute. It clearly says someone but your HOME team, and they all pick the Heat. Unless they are all bandwagoners and none live in Miami then it makes sense.

Denver - love great teams with no "superstar"
Hawks - might as well get something for their crippling investment
Lakers - used to be an arch-nemesis, now I'm just intrigued to see if they can make it 3 in a row

Da Knicks

1. Suns - i am infatuated with Steve Nash and i'd like to see him with a chip.
2. Celtics - i want Rondo to be remembered as an all time great.
3. Spurs - i always like to see Duncan and Pop adding rings to the stash
4. Timberwolves - i used to love them with Garnett, Cassell, and Spree. even if its not realistic they will win it all - i'd like to see them in the playoffs again; sooner rather than later.

Pick playoff teams other than your home team.

1. Portland
2. Chicago
3. OKC

lol a seattle fan who puts portland and okc as who he wants to win. you started it off with dont put your hometown team and okc is your old hometown and portland basically is your new hometown team lol
