Juwan Howard fighting Zo and the Heat. Irony.

Not bad, but should have included at least one of the Heat/Knicks brawls.

Yes, the league is softer. But it isn't because contemporary players aren't capable of playing hard-nosed basketball; they're not allowed to. Too many rules in place to prevent it from happening.

Loved the Suns/Knicks fight with Barkley, Ewing, Riley. Epic.

Loved how the Bulls players protected His Airness and Doug Collins can take a punch! wow, lol.

yeah but players are not allowed to leave the bench area now or it would be an automatic suspension.

One of the best fights was Rick Fox vs Doug Christie. They continued the fight in the tunnel.

thanks for posting. Those weren't even some of the best ones. God I miss the old days where players were loyal to the city on the front of their jersey (or name, whatever). Do you think Dumars would have gone to the Bulls because he liked his chances to win there? FK no! Cities hated each other, players hated each other. THere was none of this handshake, laughing, hugging, "your my bff forever" blah, blah, blah back in the day. Fans gave a crap about their players.

I miss the old days big time. This league is a bunch of overpaid, crybabies compared to yesterday. And sadly, we will never see toughness like back then.

Those fights were ok for nba. Malice at the Palace is the best melee of all time though, and that was during the current era.

That directly coincide with the '92 Dream Team. It was the first year the NBAs best were eligible to play for their country. Since then we've seen players who should be rivals more buddy-buddy than ever before (since they were teammates during the summer), and it just continues to compound, IMO.

Not to say these guys won't compete hard against each other in the NBA, because they do. But that hatred/zero love attitude doesn't really exist among the top players any more, and if the guys on top don't have that mentality, then the role players underneath them most likely won't either.

And i know we've seen tons of fights since '92, I just think it's been on the downward trend ever since then.

The NBA is the softest league of all professional sports. A hard foul is considered a tech and a layup can get you to the line. It is in no regard a real sport. So many fans think these *****es are real athletes please watch a contact sport. These sally's get knocked to the ground and believe they are granted 2 shots grow the **** up and grow a sack.

Look at the 4 main sports.

NHL - With the exception of fighting, they're limiting head-shots and making weak calls.
NBA - Refs will call a foul if you poke someone in the stomach with your pinky. Players are becoming reliant on the whistle, and expect to hear it whenever they're touched, which leads to the ridiculous amount of complaining.
NFL - We all know that song and dance. Head shots, etc.
MLB - They're unbelievable athletes, but being soft isn't exposed much in baseball. You'd have to stretch this topic out.

There's nothing uglier than two extremely tall lanky athletes who can't fight going at it. NBA fights are the worst in all of professional sports except perhaps soccer.

Actually I can't even imagine the type of suspension a player would get if he pushes a coach like mahorn did to collins.

Thanks and yes, sadly I think you're right, loyalty and toughness like back then will probably be just memories.

thank god there are still a handful of guys who actually take pride in the name of the team/city on the front of their jersey. Can you ever see Kobe, Timmy, Dirk, or a handful of others leaving their teams? I can't.

As much as I give Kobe a hard time, I absolutely think he would have thrived back in the day. I think he would play with a missing leg, and his competitiveness would have mixed in perfectly with the old schoolers.

I honestly hate watching videos like this haha. It makes me miss the NBA I grew up with so much dude. Screaming at my TV at Mahorn or Oakley, high fiving my brother after Jordan got past the Pistons, etc. Ugh
