dirty, he may be, but he doesnt try to deliberately hurt people. that scola hit u could argue he did. but i felt like he was trying to send scola a physical message, not trying to send him to a hospital. this debacle with kaman is a joke and who cares what mo williams says. if the cavs had fish last year they woulda went to the finals...and eventually lost to the lakers but thats beside the point ;)

Fish isn't a dirty player... dirty players take cheap shots hoping to injure you. There are a lot of adjectives you could use to describe Fisher's play, but dirty isn't one of them.

Guys, Mo is right. Hines Ward and D-Fish do have a lot in common. It's called championships baby! The one thing that Mo Williams will never obtain. LOL

Fish is a smart player, he does what he does for a reason

The foul on Scola was retaliation for the play earlier when Scola got into it with Walton. It was a key time in an important game that was starting to slip away. After Fish got ejected
the team responded & went on a run & won the game.

Fish knows the game, he knows when he has to make a play and he does it for the team. Some times it's dirty, but I could make a list of other players (very good players) who have made fisher-type plays to help his team.

Just watch old videos of Lakers vs. Celtics.

Watch the Pistons vs. Jordan. Watch the Knicks vs. the Heat. Knicks vs. pacers...

The NBA today is way too pussified.

Even if it was verified (which is wasnt)... Since when are people getting all worried and crying over a hard foul? These are ultimate competitors at the highest level of competition, playing for their own pride and MILLIONS of dollars. Scola for one is a flopper, and they were playing highly physical playoff basketball. He gave the man a nice check and it not only energized the team but sent a clear message. Regarding Bynums foul, yes it was over-the-top, and I dont like to see any good player like Beasley get injured.. but He's the center of the lakers, and our hopes of a championship this year, and in future years, depend heavily on his ability to have a dominant presence as a big. People need to think twice before they attack the basket that freely with Bynum in the lane, otherwise they will get hurt. Shaq made that a very clear message time and time again. As for fish, he has created a similar message, and a vital one considering his lack of speed and agility at his age. (Not to mention that the Kaman incident, to me, did not look like an intentional swipe at the man's head). Props to our players being physical.. If only we can get Pau to deliver the same message

I'd agree. Fish is very strong, and gets in some cheap shots I notice. I recall in last year's Finals, scrambling for the ball on the floor with Rondo he really nailed him with a knee or an elbow to the head... I had to rewind to watch it again and it was a very good shot he got in on him that was completely deniable and "accidental" looking but was almost certainly intentional

I agree your sig is sick and so very very true.. LOL

Fish, in that moment, wasn't setting a screen, he was sending a message.. There had been some ugly stuff going on all night and Scola had been imposing himself on Fish and attempting to push him around.. Fish finally had enough after some more rough housing and pushed back.. It's not dirty, it basketball.. Basketball is about real estate as much as it is about scoring.. It is what it is..
