Can the nets make the playoffs next season with Deron Williams as their star player and Brook Lopez as Robin?

Doubt it, unless one of the current playoff projected teams regresses a great deal. I don't see them beating out the Pacers, Bucks, or Bobcats, for that matter, without a good deal of work, but hey, the draft is a great equalizer, and many things could happen over the postseason.

God don't like ugly. He don't work miracles for teams like New Jersey.

Net fans better realize they will be moving to Brooklyn while everyone will be focused on the Knicks. If the Nets can't sell out with Deron Williams in NJ then they won't sell out ever in Brooklyn.

I live in Brooklyn and I can tell you right now, everyone was FIGHTING to keep the Nets out of Brooklyn.

In the weak eastern conference anything can happen

I can def see Deron leaving after next season. Brooklyn is nice but who wants to play by themselves with no chance at winning. Dwight is not going to play in BK, he already said he doesn't like cold weather.

I could see it happening with a weak eastern conference.

An adult YMCA league team could make the playoffs in the eastern conference.

According to NBA TV, they are out of the playoffs. 50th loss.

maybe but i dont see it unless they make some improvements this offseason...with the east getting stronger you can now pencil in 5 maybe 6 teams .. the heat, magic, celtics, bulls, hawks, and the 6th maybe team being the knicks....i see philly, pacers, bucks, and bobcats ahead of them right now

Sure they can. Brook Lopez was sick last summer so with a full healthy summer and D-Will getting more chemistry with him and his other teammates, I can definitely see it.

Humphries aint too shabby either. Probably the second best player on the team this season.

surprised a lot of people said no. the east is still really weak, 8th seed is gonna be 10 games under 500 which is crazy. and the 7th seed is currently 2 games under 500. they can easily make the playoffs next year.

In the east? of course they can. 36 wins and you are in.

It still amazes me that people forget how pathetic the east is after the top 4 teams. Atlanta would struggle to make the playoffs out west if they had to play a west heavy schedule.
