Floyd Mayweather loves the Bulls after last night:

Mayweather posted a picture on his Twitter account Wednesday morning of a betting slip from the M Resort in Las Vegas that showed he won $37,272.75 on the Bulls, who faced the Atlanta Hawks the previous night.

The tweet read: "My lil brother Derrick Rose will always get you Paid."

According to the photo, Mayweather made a halftime bet that the Hawks wouldn't outscore the Bulls by six points or more in the second half. The Bulls made 73.8 percent of their shots in the first half, which ended with a Rose 3-pointer, to go up 72-43.

Mayweather apparently laid down the expensive halftime bet with the Bulls getting 5.5 points.

The visiting Bulls outscored Atlanta 42-38 in the second half, easily winning the best for Mayweather.

"We can't really discuss it," M Resort sportsbook supervisor Jorgen Johnson said in a phone conversation. "It's a privacy issue. He does like to put his tickets on Twitter."

that's not right though, because people become "true fans" in such ways...

people get attracted to rooting for teams for silly reasons. Maybe they like some player on there, maybe their father rooted for them when they were kids, maybe they just like the logo of the team, maybe they were just born in the same city or state as the team in question...all pretty silly reasons to become a fan, many people would agree.

who's to judge

Celebs are just normal people like you and me until they get that celeb status. I'm sure a good majority of male celebs have a team they will root for and stand by their whole lives, regardless of their celeb status or the team status. Not all celebs will just drop who they grew up rooting for to join the bandwagon of a hot team, except Justin Beiber I'm sure.

And just cuz they're at a Laker or Knick game or something doesn't mean they are now fans of that team instead. If I was in LA, I'd want to hit up a Laker game too anytime I was able to.

I feel that. It's like going to a baseball game. You're not really there for the game. You're just there for the environment and experience.

J4KOP99
03-23-2011, 05:32 PM
No one has anything close to Nicholson. He's been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and goes no matter how the Lakers are doing.

And if you don't think some of these celebrities are actual Lakers fans, you should read up on how hard it actually is to get court side seats.

Jerry Buss isn't even able to get court side.

Spike Lee is good too, he's always there and cares a lot about his team.

and then this is an even more interesting article about how you go about getting Lakers court side season tickets... very cool stuff.

-The fact that Jerry Buss, the owner of the Lakers, still hasn't been able to get his own court side seats says enough.

Jack Nicholson is by far the coolest celeb fan... nobody touches Jack IMO, I'm a huge homer on this too though lol

I just think he's arguably the best celeb fan, he cheers for the Lakers, he trashes the refs at times, he gets into the heads of the opposing team. Jack is like the Phil Jackson of celeb fans lol
