Rose shutting down D-Will again so far. 3 points on 1-6 shooting , 1-1 FT. That one was a layup with an and-one where Kurt Thomas actually drew a charge. :laugh2:

I was going to just comment on how the Bulls defense as a whole is just insane. It's one of the better defenses in a while. NJ isn't an amazing team, but 33 points with 2 minutes left in the second is quite the feat.

Agreed. What do you think of Asik, if you've seen enough to comment on him? I think he'll be one hell of a defensive player and he can already rebound. His interior game is even coming along.

Very impressive for a rookie. Big body. I mean, I don't have to tell you what he can and can't do, I'm sure you know better than me. But I do like his ability to defend and rebound a lot. He's surprisingly athletic too. He moves a lot more quickly and nimbly than I thought he would just by looking at him. I really like his game. For a rookie, there's nothing bad you can say about him

People can make the argument that Williams is better. But head to head: Rose > Williams. He is shutting him down on D and blowing by him almost at will on offense. The Nets actually just took Williams off Rose defensively. :eyebrow:

Rose is definitely winning this battle. I don't think any "haters" are going to be saying otherwise.

Asiks one true obvious down fall is his hands if he can get better hands the kid will be a pretty complete player.

Wasn't it Noah that used a tennis ball drill to work on that? Also his free throw shooting could be improved, but he has a chance to be a very good player.

Rose did a GREAT job tonight, but you're absolutely crazy if you don't think part of it wasn't the system. Hell, the only person to even mention it being a team effort thus far was a Bulls fan. Why so paranoid ;)

I mean, the Bulls are the best defensive team in the league. Statistically, they are one of the best defensive teams in a few years. If you want to credit Rose for all of it, that's fine. But that's quite frankly not true. He deserves most of it, but if anyone does say that you do have to give credit to the system too, as some Bull fan already has said, you have to agree.

It's never just one player shutting down another. Rose dominated this match up. But snarky comments like that are just a little weird to me.

I'm not crediting rose for all of it but every time a bulls fan has brought up rose improving his defense the rebuttal is it's the system and actually give no credit to rose. I'm not really paranoid at all I'm actually just bored.

From last year?

That was LeBron/Delonte influenced. I personally can't stand how arrogant they act when they overachieve against certain teams.

Another Stellar performance by the Cavs! I like JJ Hickson but he's so inconsistent. I know they're on a back-to-back but that's still no excuse. They should package Hickson in some sort of trade for a first round draft pick (2012), then maybe somehow pick up Sullinger. Ryan Hollins needs to be sent to the D League.

Arch Stanton
03-18-2011, 12:08 AM
Yea. But the whole team participated.

So Baron Davis, Luke Harringody, Ramon Sessions, Manny Harris, Semih Erden, Samardo Samuels... and so on... all participated. Because I didn't realize they were a part of last years Cavs.
