Easy player's that will not, probably not or may not make in the Hall of Fame due to:

1) Injuires

2)Work Ethic

3) Tradgedy

4)Or just plain a lack of Drive

5) Lack of Playing Time in their career

Names that come to mind:
Injuries: Grant Hill
Work Ethic: Vince Carter
Tradgedy: Led Bias
Drive: Rasheed 'iLike techs' Wallace
Play Time: Jermaine O'Neal

Thoughts?

Vince if he tried.

Vince if he tried.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Vince had all the talent in the world and even he admitted he did not go 100% when he played. The guy could of been a top 50 player all time and maybe even top 25 with his abilities.

Sheed he had a complete NBA game and size for a pf. He just rarely had the drive to do it consistently.

He was really really good. And no one pushed him around.

Chris Webber is a pretty easy choice here. Should've been Nba Finals MVP in 02 if it wasn't for game 6 refereeing in game 6 WCF.
Following year - serious knee injury, would never be the same C-webb again

I agree although his career numbers still look HOF worthy to me

 aww man. I just realized this.

Exactly post moves were incredible instead he just floated around the 3 point line. :pity:

I hope Webb makes it, he was awesome and a nice guy.

If Derick Coleman had any heart or work ethic he could have been mentioned with the greats of all time. We might be talking top 5 all time if he cared. When he was motivated he was as unstoppable as anyone and bigger (not height, in mass) then most.

Grant Hill I think will still make the HOF because its the basketball HOF and not NBA HOF, his college career and all those NBA triple doubles I think puts him in despite injuries.

Not a chance he makes it. He should of tried harder and he would of had a legitimate shot.

Still believe Vince will make the HOF

Well this is true, but with all of his talents Vince should have been a surefire HOFer get it? He underachieved alot of his career. I personally think people over-scrutinize him but he also holds some blame to that.

Still believe Vince will make the HOF

I don't see it

Apart from passing the 20,000 point plateau he's really done nothing in his career apart from winning a dunk contest and ROY award.

Sad to say, but the guy was a flash in the pan...such enormous wasted potential.

Antoine Walker if he wasn't lazy and a gambler. As talented a player as the NBA has seen in terms of all-around skillset. Same goes for Sheed.

Reggie Lewis and Len Bias. RIP

Jamal Mashburn, if he was ever on a decent team and won a final he would be up there. One of the best underrated players of all time.

Not sold on Ralph Sampson, I dont have much on him game footage wise, only a few of his playoff appearances were worth looking up, but his stats arent HOF material, then again he could have rode Hakeem to the HOF

Don't forget that the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame is awarded to basketball careers. This covers high school, college, and NBA. Though the NBA carries more clout, what Chris Webber and Vince Carter did to college basketball was amazing. Webber as a part of the fab 5 and Carter was one of the greatest and most well liked college athletes in his college career. Carter's dunk over the 7 footer in the olympics should make him a lock, lol!
