I can't believe they're so close, even if they were drafted the same year. Deron Williams (26) has 4,079 assists in 444 games. Chris Paul (25) has 4,073 assists in 410 games. Who will have more assists by the time they retire?

Deron, because of his ability to actually stay on the court (although his wrists seem to be becoming a serious issue in recent years)

and I always said CP3 was all stats, and that Deron's were limited by the Jazz system. Throw Deron in a free for all system in Jersey and look how his stats have exploded.

Yet CP3's assist rate is significantly higher, tells you something about total/per game stats...

The same system that John Stockton used to become the greatest assist man of all time?

Deron Williams supporting cast is only going to get better, but Paul's options are running out. Williams is less likely to be injured too.

and i think deron would take it. nets r only gonna get better. n his assists r pretty nice this season. cp3 is nasty n looking good after his injury. but his health is an issue

Not to mention CP3's career AST% is slightly higher all while maintaining it with a lower TOV% along with less talented teams over the years. Wouldn't you agree?

In my opinion CP3 is in a league of his own as far as PG. He does everything very very well. There is nobody who does the things he can do. There are some PG's with some really good talent who might become better in the next few years like Rose, Westbrook, Wall but CP3 is the man. Give him a team with any talent and it's going to be scary. NO needs to stop messing around and get this man some players or he's going to leave.

CP3 he's a pure point guard ,and he was injured a few times in his career that caused him to miss alot of games which is why it's even close.
