It's a bit early to tell on All-Star caliber, but he's definitely been nice this year. I like him a lot more than Brooks. I can see him being a "verge" All-Star kind of PG if he continues.

Thank God I nabbed him a while back on my fantasy team.

no..atleast not a ceritfied one.. i think he will be in the mold of a jameer nelson type.. can play.. can maybe make a allstar team one day.. but thats about it.. no offense because he's a good player but because im not saying he's jordan doesnt discredit what hes doing..

and with westbrook & paul and all the fowards that have to be there for the west.. i dont ever see him making it..

Borderline at best. And I do like him a lot. I liked when the Rockets had Brooks and Lowry back then.

No.

Yes. Don't be mad because he's better than every point guard on the lakers roster.

He's coming into his own now, that's forsure. He was a big time player in college and is finally rounding into form.

He's is a very nice player. Aside from the stats you mentioned, he plays great defense too. But all-star, no. There are just too many better point guards in the western conference. Westbrook, Paul, Parker, Nash, Conley, Evans, Curry, and probably some I am forgetting. I don't see him getting into an all-star game any time soon.

No he isn't.

Just too much young talented PGs who are likely to be All Stars ahead of him in the not too distant future. Tony Parker, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook and Steve Nash are the current WC PGs who are all star calibre. Then next is line is Stephen Curry and after you have Mike Conley, Kyle Lowry, Aaron Brooks (if he can find himself again), Raymond Felton and Andre Miller.

Lowry has really been impressive this season but the point guard position is arguably the deepest in the NBA right now and it'll be really hard for him to deemed all star calibre any time soon.

Is he a flashy name? no

Could he be an allstar. Maybe.if he plays next year with confidence like he's been playing then he might be able to.

I think hes definitely one of the more overlooked pgs

Hes played awesome as of late

yikes, that is a tough one. If Nash retires or moves east, you still have Paul, Harris, Curry, Parker, Westbrook, Lawson, and Tyreke to compete with going forward. And that doesn't even include Rubio or possibly Irving if he enters the west.

I think Lowry is turning into a nice player, but he has some stiff, stiff competition to beat out

nope, but he is improving fast.

nash is getting old
billups is in the east now
Dwill is in the east now too
cp3 might be in the east soon as well.

if all goes to plan and this kid keeps his numebrs up, its very possible for him to become a future all star.

Be that as it may, if Nash isn't getting the nod, then no way in hell is Lowry. Why you trying to bait? Grow up

clutch fantasy pick up for me. i took him and dropped Roid.J Mayo, and it's done wonders for my team. it's safe to say they made the right choice in keeping Lowry over Brooks. don't think he's an all-star yet though...PG is stacked

no, Paul, Williams, Kobe, Roy (when healthy), Nash, Parker, Ginobli, Kidd, and Westbrook are all better. So unless all of them somehow retire next year, then it will never be a starting guard in the west.

He is definitely under rated but the 13 and 6 he puts up a game isn't really all-star caliber.

Did a 24 year old Steve Nash stand a chance? Because Lowry is having a better season than Steve had at that age.

I am not saying he's going to become one but the manner in which you rule him out is baseless.

What does that even mean and how on earth is it even relevant to what is being asked.

Lowry having a better season than Nash when he was 24.
Again what does this have to do with anything?

Lowry is no where near close to being an all star, how someone can even argue against that is beyond me. So no he is not becoming an all star caliber PG. I'd put all my savings on him never becoming an all star.

Hell no he isn't. With CP3, Nash, Tony Parker, and Westbrook there isn't much room for him in there now.... Unless they all bolt for eastern conference.

It's relevent because none of us owns a crystal ball.

There are players in the league right now who we may think that will never amount to nothing but 6-7 years down the road they can be some of the best in the game.

Don't just rule out the possibility that Kyle Lowry can be that guy.

Again I ask you. Did you think a 24 year old Steve Nash was going to become an All-Star?

The question is, is he becoming an all star?? the simple answer is no. He is no where close to becoming all star caliber.

The crystal ball thing is irrelevant, of course anything can happen in the future. But Lowry's play this year does not show me all star potential.
Once again the Nash thing is irrelevant.

i love lowry, but no he's not. and im fine with that. where he has truly made great strides this year is being confident with the ball in his hands as the shot clock (or quarter) is winding down. with him and lee being in the lineup during critical times, the wing defense has gotten better. he isn't an allstar, but hes pretty much exactly what our team needs
