Magic 40-24
Heat 43-21

Upcoming schedule for Magic.

Kings-- away
Warriors-- away
Suns-- away
Lakers--away
Bucks-- away

Upcoming schedule for Heat.

Lakers-- home
Grizzles-- home
Spurs-- home
Thunder-- home
Hawks-- away

Heat are defiantly going to have a tougher schedule so magic taking the 3rd seed of the east is likely. The Magic though, they have 5 of 5 away games, the Heat have 4 of 5 home games. Magic are 16-13 at away games and Heat are 22-9 at home games.

I was just asking my buddy the same question. Only three games back? Anything is possible.

I haven't kept count but this has to be at least the 20th Heat thread made in the last two hours. give it a rest you guys!

Of course they can, but I doubt they will. They haven't been playing that great either.

Also, what's defiant about the Heat having a tough schedule? They didn't choose it.

Next thread, can the Hawks pass the Heat? Then Knicks, then Sixers, then Pacers, and finally the Nets....

Wow. I had no idea the next 5 games were so drastically different for both teams. I was thinking if the chips fell the right way for them Orlando could maybe catch them by the end of the season.

I'm thinking now they might have them caught by next week.

You also neglected to mention that all 5 of those Magic games (and 9 of the next 11) are on the road, where they're only 16-13.

Conversely, 4 of the Heat's 5 (and 7 of the next 9) are at home.

depends how D12s supporting cast plays. magic have perplexed me this season. definitely possible though, the heat haven't shown they can beat quality opponents so their next 5 games could definitely pose some trouble.

doesn't the heats schedule get considerably easier after this stretch of games? how does the magics look?

After the 5 games stretch the quality teams magic will play will be, Chicago, Atlanta, and New York. The quality teams Heat will play will be Atlanta and Boston.

Even though I don't think either would beat us in a 7 game series, I'd rather play Atlanta in round 1 than New York...which probably means staying at the 4 instead of moving up to 3. However, that probably means Boston in the next round...all though, I'm not counting Chicago out yet for that #1 seed.

Miami's remaining schedule is significantly harder I believe, but we do also have a fair amount more road games than home games left to close out the season. 3 games is a lot this late in the season...

I'll say no because of all the road games, and our poor road record.

The way the Heat are playing they might need to watch out for the Pistons to pass them.
