Because they'd rather watch other teams...

FANS

In the West I'd say the Lakers get an insane boost in the arm with the number of celebrities that show up to cheer them on which in turn fires up the crowd. Laker teams are expected to win and the crowd provides them a natural swagger.

In the East I'd say the Celtic fans can get pretty nuts because of the long tradition of winning and fans there channel their inner "Red" towards their team.

HOME COURT

I'm biased on this one. Chicago has done a pretty damn good job this year as well as Boston, San Antonio and Miami. Single digit loses at home for a season is pretty impressive and home court becomes VERY important to these teams.

As a Warrior fan, I'll go with Portland. ALWAYS packed, and they always bring it. Big disparity in their home/away records as well. OKC fans bring it, too. That's a tough arena to play in.

I put the Knicks and the Lakers. You would never hear a NY or LA crowd cheer for another team.

1. Golden State Warriors

2. Seattle SuperSonics

3. Utah Jazz

4. Chicago Bulls

5. Clippers.... however this year, I am seeing a lot of bandwagoners.

Portland certainly comes to mind and the gross Jazz.

However, as far as HCA, I'd give some thought to the Nuggets. The altitude can be a factor, especially when the Nugs are running. I'm not necessarily saying we are the loudest fans, but if I understood the question correctly, that's an advantage for Denver.

Yeah, the MVP chants for Amar'e and Rose over the past 2 weeks proved that Miami Heat fans are soooooo legit.
