They buy out Corey Brewer and waive Azubuike to make room for Jared Jeffries and another player??? :eyebrow:

Yeah, if he is healthy and well enough to play, the Bulls should jump on him quick. He seems like the best fit and most effective out of all of the bought out players, AND he plays defense.

He would be great for the Bulls!!!!!!!!! He is almost back to healthy

Knicks are crazy, he is so good when healthy and Brewer (even though he is having a bad season) is also way better than freaking Jared Jeffries

I think if he was healthy the Knicks would have never waived him... he is a player that relied on athleticism and explosiveness, if he lost a step hes not worth it.

what do the Knicks care? they got Melo, Amare and Billups. They're all set for their championship run this year.

You realize he hasn't played in about 14 months? He was a really nice player when healthy, but reports had him at 80%... unfortunately.

There's a reason he was cut. I just can't see him having any sort of impact this season

If Azubuike goes to Bulls he will beast when playoffs starts trust me!!!

And they might play the Knicks in the first round

And if Brewer goes to Dallas/OKC, he will play really good

He was coming off from a really bad knee injury from last season, we've been hearing reports season long on his progress but the coaching staff must know that he isn't good enough to play and contribute right now if they waive him over guys like Roger mason jr

Kind of a different vibe in this thread than I expected, most knicks fans I've heard from couldnt wait for him to come back, so I was expecting a little sobbing

He hasn't played even one minute this season and yet he's been "close to ready" for months now. A sarcastic good luck to any team that picks him up.

He hasnt played in almost a year and a half. Remember when Tmac finally played when he was with the knicks after missing the same amount of time? He was horrible. You cant rush those kinds of injuries. I wish he could have played with us but despite him thinking he is ready he just doesnt seem to have the same lift he use to have before the injury

And Roger Mason is still on the team? lol Wow.

Azubuike is 2x better and almost healthy

unfortunately earl barron just signed a ten day contract with the milwaukee bucks, so it looks like we cut azibuke and brewer and bring in jeffries and possibly murphy

I actually thought the post was quite humorous. I think you need to look up the definition of edgy.

Azubuike is 2x better and almost healthy

Hes been almost healthy for months

Obviously we wouldve kept him if he was healthy enough to play but it doesnt look like it. I would love to of kept him if he were able to play.

I don't like it. Azubuike was injured ... but he could've been a threat from the 3 for the Knicks. A bench ... let's not say scorer ... but, someone who could knock down 3's when Melo gets a break on the bench. I always liked Azubuike's game and thought, full healthy and recovered, he could be a very solid role-player for the Knicks.

Brewer stayed glued to the timber wolves bench so do you really expect him to contribute anywhere? Buike was nothing more than a trade chip that didnt get used.

Dude isn't coming back from that anytime soon. His game was based on athleticism and I honestly doubt anybody picks him up this year. He might be a good vet min guy by the fall though.

as a very big Knicks fan I was kinda bothered by the fact that D'Antoni never gave Brewer a shot to play, especially over Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman but I understand where they're going with these moves...plain and simple, we have enough scoring between Melo, Amar'e, Billups, Douglas, Walker and Williams so I assume the way they see it is that they now need to focus on bringing in defensive players that r willing to come in and play strictly for defensive purposes i.e Jeffries and possibly Earl Barron...don't get me wrong I would've loved to see Brewer stay and get some burn bc he could've showed he was worth something and I definitely would've liked to see Azubuike step on the floor at least once with a Knicks jersey on but it was apparent the front office and coaches realized he wasn't healthy enough to help this team now and didn't think they needed to waste a roster spot on someone who wasn't going to play a minute for the team...they may seem like head-scratching moves to some people but as a Knicks fan I completely see where they're going with this and believe our team is finally on the road to greatness and success once again...NYK ALL DAY ******* - STAT & MELO, STAT & MELO, STAT & MELO, STAT & MELO

They have been saying for months now that hes "almost ready" but he never comes back. Its a shame I would have loved to see him healthy for the Knicks but nothing you can do. Good luck Buike, hope that knee heals up fully soon
