I thought it was funny how Kevin Harlan & Reggie Miller acted like it was actually a foul. At least Reggie admitted it was a flop, but Harlan said something like "I think he's in some pain..." Really? Based on what? Falling hard?

If Boozer even touched him it wasn't enough to make him fall (1 second later) or act like he just got his nose caved in for the next few minutes of the game.

No sir. Chris Bosh is a complete joke. Maybe he needs to "chill" a little more.

Moreover I'd like to see the NBA install an "embelishment - flopping" foul like the NHL id with the "embelishment - diving" penalty (even though it's not nearly called enough).

I know what I'm talking about, because I CAN SEE THE VIDEO - if there is any contact, it is minimal and Bosh's reaction is a little too theatrical for the level of contact.

Also, I suppose it is normal for a human being to have a similar delay in reaction to pain.

I'm not saying it is wrong to flop, but this is clearly a flop.

Well, of course it is a joke, just at Bosh's expense.

Maybe you don't understand the concept of flopping and the reason why people may hate a player that flops.

I think once you understand flopping you will better understand this thread.

Also, I don't know if you know, but Bosh is thought of as a "soft player." This conception also plays into the joke.

Hopefully, this will help you "get" the joke.

Wow NBA players are jerks but they pale in comparison to most of YOU. First off remember the Marquise Daniels injury. Didn't seem that bad from the replay, but we know how that turned out. How many times have you seen guys get stitches from hits that didn't seem all that violent when you viewed the replay? What I'm saying is the replay does no justice to what goes on in a game. These guys are the best athletes in the world, a small hit from them is a pretty big deal. And by the way what's up with the Chris Bosh hate? Does he drink and drive and hit his wife? You guys seem to have a strange twisted sense of reality. Your venom should aimed towards guys like J. Jack and M. Cabrera. You know guys that could of killed people in the real world. What.... In the basketball world nobody is entitled to redemption, but if you kill dogs, drink and drive, rape, it's all good...those guys get a second chance. Stupid

Begging the question is a terrible way to argue. You assume I don't understand neck injuries, I knew Marquis Daniel's injury was bad because of the way his body went limp immediately. Bosh obviously felt the elbow touch the tip of his nose, thought about what happened, realized it was his elbow, then tried to sell the contact. I have no problem with the flop, it's part of the game, but to say that he was hit and hurt, as you did, is ********.

Way to take the analogy way too far and lose any credibility you had and reduce the merit of your statement.

Bosh is a whiny little child and the flop was an embarrassment. Even Heat fans aren't defending it and frankly it is simply in line with his reputation. You are right that being an all star is irrelevant (especially because it was not deserved), but your way of communicating that is ridiculous.

Eh, Bosh has been a good actor for years. He was so good he actually had people believing he was a 'superstar' and that it's 3 superstar players in Miami.

I think any Miami fan being honest with themselves realizes Bosh is nowhere near the level of Wade and James, quite far below the superstar level.

lol, my first thoughts when i saw the replay. pretty ridiculous to be flopping around on the ground like that, he made it seem like he got blindsided and took one to the head. MINIMAL contact? sure, boozer grazed his nose. over top disgraceful acting? absolutely.

since when did basketball become soccer?

DamnGoat
02-25-2011, 04:30 PM
Boozer hit him to the nose, what are you talking about?

Of course, it hurt, but not as much as Bosh exspressed.
Like I said, if Boozer even hit him. I didn't discount the possibility. If he hit him he just barely did. That's not enough to knock someone over. I'm not even sure how a ref falls for that if he's watching the play. Boozer was holding the ball down by his knees by the time Bosh decided to fall.

Then he walks around acting like his nose was caved in the rest of the half. One of the worst flops I've seen in a while.

It is great the Heat have half a dozen fair weather fans that patrol the boards defending their team. They are so passionate, if only the other 99.99% of Heat fans cared a little Miami would have one heck of a fan base. Why can't they just go back to not showing up to Marlins world series games and leave everyone else alone.

Trust me, it would greatly help. Just call a T for the blatant flop so the Derek Fishers, Manu, Boshs, and Varejao learn to stay on their feet. You wont keep flopping if there's a chance you'd get tossed out of a game, especially in the playoffs.

These guys are flying back at the INTICIPATION OF contact, that's why Bosh's flop was so disgusting. It funny now but How would you like it if your team lost a key possession to a BS move like that in thee playoffs or some other crunchtime scenario?

It's so funny how Deng is the best when it suits the argument, but the Heat have 3 superstars while the Bulls only have one when it suits Rose's MVP case.

So Deng is better than Bosh, Boozer is better than Bosh and Noah is better than Bosh, and the Bulls supporting cast + bench is better than the Heat's, apparently, YET Rose does it alone and Lebron has Wade to carry him.

I don't think anyone is saying that Deng is better than Bosh, just that Deng also has his good points. I think if it weren't for his contract, any team in the league would welcome a guy like Deng with open arms. He's productive, versatile, easily coach-able, a good locker room presence, there's a reason that coach Thibs loves Deng...even more than Bogans.

Theirs a reason why Lebron, Wade and Bosh are called 2 and a half men. Bosh is not a superstar, that was clear when he was on the raptors, he couldn't lead us anywhere. Hell, I don't even think the dude has made a all nba team, he's a all star but not a superstar. If bosh is a superstar, then so is Carlos Boozer, haha. But in all honesty, it was funny when Bosh was on the raps and heat fans would try and put Bosh down and what not also saying he wasn't a top powerforward when that poll came out, now he's on the Heat and he's a superstar?

Eh, that's how all fan bases are. They talk crap about them or downplay them when their not on their team, but when their one their respective team, they welcome them with open arms. Bosh is close to a superstar, but he's not there yet. Like you said, if he was a superstar, he would've of got the Raptors at least somewhere. His supporting cast was alright too. That and how he's a workhorse. Guy plays 40+mins a game and still has the endurance to play great Defense in crunchtime. Only other player I see that can do that (as a support player) is Shane Battier.

Deng is an ideal SUPPORT player. He doesn't have the stats or the Media coverage to be a legit superstar. The closest guy on this team that may have superstar status besides Rose is Boozer, and that's pushing it

In terms of Lost post scoring Boozer is obviously > Bosh but interms of defense and perimeter play Bosh> Boozer.

Rose has better support Pieces but does not has a concrete second option that WILL carry the scoring load when he's off. If LBJ is off Wade can go off for 40 while bosh can pitch in 20-10. When Rose cant score the bench and the other starters have to work together to help the team win, but when LBJ is struggling, DWade can jump into a phone booth and go to work .
