View Full Version : Is this the most exciting trade deadline since 2000?

I think this trade deadline is one of the most exciting ever. We see stars like Williams and Melo traded on consecutive days.

Who's next?

We know the trade activity is far from over.

*I'm not saying the 2000 trade deadline was exciting, but im just using that as a starting point to compare.

Late but exciting. There hasn't been a trade in awhile until Melo trade.

No.. We knew Melo was getting tradded. The Deron thing would be bigger if he went to a contending team. IMO its not exciting unless a powerhouse gets stronger

I said I don't know who was traded that year. I just felt that year was a good range to compare from. To be honest, I don't even know what happened 2005 and earlier. I didn't compare against another exciting year, just a random year to begin with.

I know you were quite clear on that, I was just explaining to JB the irony of that random date

The tradeline where Shaq, Gasol, and Kidd all got traded was pretty exciting

yes easily none of it matters though when the finals start neither of these trades will have any effect on the two teams playing

It matters in the long term though. Besides, the deadline isn't over yet. Contenders can still make moves for Stephen Jackson for example.

I heard Miami got rid of Beasly because he looked too much like Delonte. Not joking.

Very exciting for a Lakers fan! Shipping out 2 stars to the Eastern Conference in D-Will and Melo. :D

This is 2 top 10 or 15 in the league moving. The lines in the NBA have moved again. And the Nets will resign Williams. And move to NY proper.

And, Deron? Yes, we blame you for Sloan retiring. Get your things and leave. Bbye. Utah showed some class. Which has been lacking lately.

lol yeah, but I don't think either of those teams were gonna stop LA.

Utah, no.

Denver, probably.

They're tough to beat for the Lakers and they seemed to match-up well with them. Not that Melo and Billups are gone, they shouldn't be much of a problem.

Not to mention G-Force is traded to Portland and Stephen Jackson might be going to the Mavs.

People are also making offers for Al Jefferson and Millsap thinking they might be able to get them for cheap.

ZBo has been rumoured to the Magic.

I wouldn't be surprised seeing the Cavs also trying to take on a player who could be on the block due to a bad contract such as Iggy and they might be giving Jamison up for some picks or something.

Heard there were issues with the wallace trade...but captain kirk to atlanta is a good quality move not a blockbuster however though

Most active one I can think of recently
Trades that moved melo, billups, dwill, Gerald Wallace, Hinrich and others and other big rumors around Stephen Jackson, zbo etc.
