View Full Version : Teams calling Jazz furiously for Jefferson and Millsap

SI's Chris Mannix: Jazz phones "blowing up" with calls about Millsap, Jefferson, source says. Teams trying to see if they can get either on the cheap.

I don't see why the Jazz wouldn't trade Millsap and/or Jefferson now. They both have massive contracts and are taking Favors position.

The Jazz have the Nets pick this year and the Warriors next in addition to their own. If they could pull off a trade getting picks for these playoffs, they could potentially have 3 lottery picks this year and next and be on the fast track towards being the Thunder 2.0.

I'd hold on to Millsap if I were the Jazz unless I got something great.

I wouldn't trade Millsap. In all honesty they don't know what they have yet in Favors.

I actually think I'd sell high on Millsap here. Even if Favors isn't a star, I don't really like the combo of him and Jefferson, and my favorite combo of the three is Favors/Jefferson.

I would look into trading Jefferson for sure, but not Millsap. They should be more concerned with moving AK47 or Okur somehow.

felton, harrington and gallo for jefferson :D

I wouldnt bother, Deron was a problem and he had to go. The others are good players who havent made waves.

They got rid of a bad apple before he spoiled the bunch nothing more.

I could see Jefferson traded more then Milsap. I just still dont understand the D-Will trade at all.

I think Al Jefferson would look real good next to Andrea Bargnani. Not that I'm expecting my team to make a move, but it'd plug one of the very large holes in our roster.

I think AL Jefferson can probi be had for cheap. He has a pretty lengthy contract and teams who trade stars tend to look for picks and cut costs.

Yeah you need more soft big men that only play on offense. Hole plugged

Keep Sap, but move Al for the love of all that is good and holy.

I know next to Bargs Jefferson looks like Rodman but hes not a very good rebounder

and Jefferson has turned into a black hole the last 2 years, while refusing to guard anyone.

Thunder would a problem in the west, they already are, but Millsap would a huge missing piece to add.

He was always a blackhole. He just substituted food for a basketball, bro ;)

Has he ever guarded anyone?

he attempted to a few years ago, and had a decent upward trend of offensive play and shotblocking ability, but that knee injury seems to have slowed him for good, and he already played slow and methodical. Peaked at a young age, and hasn't gotten any better. That is for sure.

haha, not gonna argue that. I remember thinking he was a future all star his first full season at Minny, and he simply never got any better.

He was the piece that got the Celts KG, so the upside was there. Buy yeah agreed, hes slowed down for good.

Firesale in Utah LOL. C'mon Warriors, try and pry Millsap, Jefferson, Okur or Kirilenko from them hehe. They should be able to be had fairly cheaply right?

The Jazz should just fire sale everything now. D Will was their superstar... now just get expirings and massive amount of picks and become the next Thunder of the league.

Might as well trade Jefferson and Millsap now..they've already traded away any chance at a title for the next 5-6 years. Get as many 1st rounders as possible now and hope you win the lottery.

why for the future? theyre already a good team.. they need some scoring from their PF/C. Add jefferson and a good defensive C like tyson chandler and u have the 1st seed in the west

Jefferson is not a winning player. He plays no defense. He doesn't understand how to play in a complicated offense, which is why Sloan dumbed his down. He can't pass. He also isn't a great rebounder against guys who actually want to rebound as well. He isn't the answer for OKC. They are better off with Ibaka and Green than him if they can't get Milsap

No way the Jazz are done. They will trade Jefferson and AK47 for sure. Cost cutting. Millsap wont be traded though.

he was playing at C thats not his position he should play PF.. he has a better chance at guarding PF than C.. dont make him out to be a scrub.. al jefferson is a pretty good player if not teams wouldnt be calling "furiously" to make a deal for him

Al Jefferson would look pretty good on the Knicks next to Amare.

Where's KG?
02-23-2011, 04:20 PM
I think the Jazz have to dump one. If they don't they may miss out on the rise of Favors who I think can be a star in this league if given a chance.
