With 25 games remaining for the Nets do you think they will be able to get into the playoffs after the Deron William trade or is it too late?

they are like 8 games back with 25 left.

8 games back in the win column ... depends on their schedule i guess maybe
5+7=DYNASTY!!!

It would probably take at least a few games for the team to mesh anyway and by that time(beginning of March) it would probably be too late. This trade was made for the long term.

They have 8 games remaining against teams like Boston, Chicago, Miami, NY and the Spurs plus they need to start building chemistry fast

I highly doubt it.

Doubtful. MAYBE the 8th seed if Indy collapses, but they won't.

i believe they can... it's a weak conference compare to the west... imagine if they win 10 games in the row.. the Nets have lost games because they need a finisher usually in the last 5 minutes of a game, Dwill can be the one.

Only chance is if they bring in another solid role player and D-Will plays out of his mind the rest of the way. 23 games under is a steep climb

They'll probably just miss out by a couple of games.
Bornknick73
02-23-2011, 02:07 PM
it might take 40 wins to get in and I doubt they go 23-5 the rest of the way.

Too big of a hole. But they might not be the worst team in the NBA next year though...

Highly unlikely.
xxplayerxx23
02-23-2011, 04:37 PM
Not likely. Unless they use those three firstrounders to get a soild player they would need to go like 21 and 4 just to get an 8 seed. Even with 21 more wins its ganna b hard

Yep they do. They explode and don't lose a game the rest of the season and finish with the 5th best record in the East. Then they go on to the Finals and defeat the Trailblazers in 6 games.

Not this season. I doubt that they will be able to pass up both the Pacers and Bobcats, who have improved under silas. But next year, I have a feeling that they will be the 7th or 8th seed in the East. So def next year IMO

Nets would probably have to go 20-5 at least to get in. Probably more like 22-3.
If they do get in, give Deron the MVP.

All they did was give up a PG for PG not significant trade here.
Nope, too much ground to make up in too little time.
