The Nuggets are not expected to retain Danilo Gallinari, according to sources that spoke with Ric Bucher.

The Nets, Clippers, Cavaliers and Raptors are all expected to express interest in Gallinari.

Gallinari was the sixth overall pick of the 2008 NBA Draft.

The Clippers are offering Minnesota's unprotected 2012 first round pick in exchange for Danilo Gallinari, according to sources.

The pick is top-10 protected in 2011 and unprotected in 2012 and is therefore likely to be conveyed for the 2012 NBA Draft.

Why would they do that?

They should hold on to him and see how it works out with him for the rest of the season. They can always trade him in the summer.

Because Raptors have TPE, not sure if they will still have it in the summer.

Trade him now before teams realize he's only an average player. His ceiling is Peja in his prime.

Although that's a good player, it's worth the gamble if they can get the Wolves unprotected pick.

Good, not great.

Like I said, it might be worth the gamble though for a Wolves unprotected pick.

Wolves aren't going anywhere anytime soon, even if Rubio comes this summer (which I doubt with the lockout). They will most likely be getting a top 6 pick to draft a player just as good if not better.

I think this proves to those Knicks fans who don't like the Melo trade that Gallinari is nothing special even if we liked him. I mean Nets, Raptors, Cavs, Clippers...?
He's a player for the future, but apparently not very good currently.

And as for the Nuggets, they got Wilson Chandler now + their existing backup SF ;)

The nuggets would accept that in a heart beat. They lose Melo and now they get Perry Jones. But I don't get trading Danillo right now...

Danilo on the clips would be dirttty with Blake Griffin. I would love to have him on the Suns. Have him and Channing Frye on the court on the same time. 2 6'10" three point shooters with open shots from Steven Nash.

Hed be great in Minnesota with Rubio getting him open looks next year

Denver got robbed IMO. They only received a bunch of mediocre role players who only scored a few points due to the fact the D-Antoni's style of coaching is "just shoot the ball....we'll eventually accumulate enough points". Denver cleared money off their books though.

But the biggest loss to Denver is Renaldo Balkman. How they just trade the man is mind-boggiling.

Renaldo Balkman = titles

Fair enough. I think Blake still hasn't learned to take over games yet (the guy who can go 1 on 1 and dominate late in the game). I will be interested to see how he develops his game. Outside of their PF and C, I don't like that team much (Ryan Gomes, Baron Davis and Randy Foye don't appeal to me).

Toronto is the ideal fit for Gallinari. Talk about the spacing you will have to deal with when you have a 7'0 and a 6'10 player on the court both being top notch shooters. If they acquire an actual low post threat on offense and a space eater on defense like Marc Gasol, Toronto will be well on their way back to the Playoffs.

Its like putting Peja & Dirk on the same team back in 2003. Obviously Gallo isn't quite Peja yet, and Bargnani isn't quite Dirk yet. But I'm willing to bet both players will be better in 3 years.

2 guys that only shoot 3's, can't play defense, and don't rebound. As a Toronto Raptors fan, our team will never make the playoffs with bargs as our number 1 guy. Hes would make a good 6th man on a good team. He needs to go before the team will show success.

But, as a Knicks and Gallo fan, I would love to see him end up on the Clippers, the LA market and environment would be close to how good it was for him in NY.

assuming we trade a pick for him a starting 5 of Calderon,Derozen,Gallo,Davis,Bargs is nice. Bargnani and Gallo would have instant chemistry and Ed Davis would do all the dirty work.Add Perkins or Nene this offseason I like it

Just change Bledsoe with Davis for now, I know a lot of you guys think Davis is washed up and unintrested, but he's been an absolute beast for us so far this year. And if he continues to play like this, I wouldn't be surprised if we signed him again after his contract is up, obviously for less money.

why would you name those guys for the clippers?

no one likes foye and gomes. baron is playing much better as of late. hopefully the clips can trade him.

how can you not include eric gordon? he is averaging 24 a game...
plus they have aminu and bledsoe. Young and talented.

They aren't the best team in the league but do have some options and a bright future.

6th man. Ugh i hate people.

He's not a number one, He can be a number two option with a good defensive big next to him. Anyways.

Gallinari would be fine for the Raptors there. Obviously at the 3 not the 4.

Bargnani
Davis/Johnson
Gallinari
