View Full Version : Guess Melo's PPG in Dantoni's system

I'll say 29.4 PPG for the rest of the season. Yes, Amare's scoring will come down a bit.

Bonus question-Guess his percentages. I'll say 44.1% FG, 30.0 % 3pt and 78.5% free throw. Guesses?

They need a new coach now. They need to add a PG, and start filling in with a defensive SG and C. And maybe add a couple of shooters.

Landry Fields is a more then sufficient SG Offensively, and Defensively. We're Set at the SG Position.

Fields is the least of their problems.

Theres more to it than that though. I was talking with one of your fellow Knicks fans a couple of days ago and we both agreed that a defensive minded coach like Mark Jackson or Lawrence Frank would be better. I actually think Lawrence Frank would be good since he is in Boston right now, where they play good team defense even if their players arent great individual defenders. You'd have two really strong offensive players playing in an effective defensive scheme.

Amare will be around 22, Melo about 28, Billups around 18...rest of team about 20...yes that is only 88 pts, but they're only going to win around 12-15 more games so it wont matter

29-30.

Fleton was getting 17
Gallo was dropping 16
Chandler was dropping 16 himself - that's about 59 points a game that Anthony, Billups have to make up - I say, Melo gets 29-30 - Billups gets 17-18 and Amare gets 2 more.

Wait, do you think Amare will be the number 1 option, or do you just think he is that much more efficient?

yes it really has..

but to the second part..tmac wasnt playing like tmac when he was in houston with yao and those guys barely were on the court so i actually would take melomire instead..

I think Amare will be more efficient. Melo will be the #1 option and take a couple more shots, but imo Amare will outscore him. His 15ft jumper is pretty sweet, can make fts and won't be doubled as much (if he was, I only watched him on the Suns). Plus he should be more comfortable in the system.

Billups will get 18-20
Amare will get 27-29
Melo will get 26-29

I honestly think Amare will score more with teams having to account for Melo, but I could be wrong. I see Amare getting 28.7, Melo 27.5 and Billups 18.2.

I'd take tmac and yao all day if they were healthy too. Tmac can facilitate the ball and Yao can play defense, both can score.

Good Point. I agree, it deserves a thread.

Melo is the #1 option now and not Amare, they lost a lot of points (offensively/defensively) in that deal they definitely need lot of help from others to fill that gap.

What does this have to do with anything? I'd also take prime Kobe and Shaq, but that is completely and utterly irrelevant to this thread, so.......
