RCR are the favorites for the 500, IMO.

I was bumed Todd Bodine didnt make the show, esp since he had one of the transfer spots locked up until Wallace wrecked him. I cant believe Rusty hasnt pulled the plug on his yet. He tears up atleast 1 of his own a weekend

No it just takes time to get used to this type of racing.

ah im not mouthing you, but hearing people like wallace say its not old school and he doesnt like it. makes me scratch my head. listening to JT the brick, their nascar insider said nascar is relaunching their product, something they failed to execute after dale senior died. they didnt plan on the 2 car hookups and being able to stay together all night, but says its good for nascar to bring back viewers that left, and get the new generation of people involved.

Racing is racing. Obviously there is good racing and bad racing, but at the end of the day, I'm not sure if it really affects viewers. There aren't many casual NASCAR fans. Those are the ones who will make ratings increase if you can get them to watch, but I'm not sure that the style of racing really matters. And these two car groups aren't necessarily better or worse, anyways.

Daytona is Daytona. Talladega is Talladega. The racing will always be exciting there. People will always watch. It's the ****** tracks that they have to get rid of.

hey i was a casual fan, my father watched nascar, and i hated it when i was little. then about 7th/8th grade on espn.com i was reading almost every monday about jeff gordon on the internet. i was who is this guy, he seems like a once in a lifetime racer, maybe i should watch in case of history.

long story short, im a 24 fan, like racing, will watch it, but if the 24 wrecks or is 2 laps down i have no problem turning it off, just like a lot of fans feel about the driver they follow. sure there is some that will watch to watch, but just like any sport, if in baseball your team is down 14-2 after 5-6 innings are you going to sit there and watch it? nope, i dont, ill check in on it after i change the channel, but wont sit there and be bored. same goes for me with nascar, ill check in if my driver is out of it, but wont stay locked in.

Na.. If Jimmie wrecks, blows an engine or whatever, I'm still watching to the end. There's plenty of other drivers out there I like, and there's a few I absolutely don't want to win. There's enough to keep me ingested if Jimmie doesn't finish
