Lakers coach Phil Jackson said Lamar Odom would offer the West All-Star team the most versatility in being able to do different things and guard different players making him the "most advantageous player" to be chosen. But Jackson also said he wouldn't mind Odom, who played over the summer with USA Basketball, getting rest over All-Star Weekend.

What about Pau Gasol?

"He'll do well in that forum," Jackson said, setting up his punchline: "He won't play that hard anyway."

Pau is content with 2 rings.

He doesn't care anymore it seems, he doesn't have the mental toughness he once had when he first came to the Lakers, or the desire or passion.

He's playing like GA-SOFT once again. No heart. Does not play hard. :pity:

Let's see what happens before we call him Gasoft. The real season hasn't started yet. Phil is just mentally messing with Pau's head and preparing it for war.

Phil is cold blooded. I tell you what though anytime you can put up what like 18, 11, and 2 blocks and STILL get criticized you're a pretty damn good player!

lmao
pau seems like the type of guy that would rather be in memphis with no pressure & be comfortable, than in LA with pressure and everyone talking down on him, hes probably the guy that wants out.

Gotta love Phil, always seems to make light out of a bad situation & just likes to stir things up a bit.

He has 2 championships... why would he want out? Theres nothing for him to prove since he already won a ring, no pressure.

It's the all star game. No one plays hard. But in Pau's defense the past couple of games he played prettty aggressive. Aside from that then yeah SOFT.

Sometimes I wish Phil would just STFU. But then again he's pure comedy.
