Thats impressive. There was a thread about him being a top 10 player. He can only go further on that list with the couple years he has left

He's not a team player. Yet, he's led the Lakers in assists almost every year. Hmmmm

In 33 minutes per game. His per-36 minute assist average is 5.1, the second highest assist per 36 minute average of his career. Behind only his 5.3 per-36 minute assist average that he posted in 04-05 when the Lakers missed the playoffs for the only time in his career.

He's 32. He has at least another great 3-4 years and perhaps a "good" 7 years in him. Lol.

Seriously, I hate kobe (blazer fan, it's obligatory), but anyone who doubts he's top 10 all-time is... Putting it midly, wrong.

He's been playing for like 15 years, he should be pretty high up on that list.

He's been playing for like 15 years, he should be pretty high up on that list.

Honestly though, he's been playing in the triangle his whole career. If people understand how the triangle works, nobody on the team is gonna get a lot of assists... put it this way. Starting in 1990-1991, when the Bulls won their first ring till their last one in 1998, MJ's highest assist output in after really mastering the triangle was 6.1 and his last 3 years with the Bulls he averaged 4.3 or less. .

If Kobe played in a pick and roll offense or an offense where he gets the ball from the get go and either has to shoot or pass with the ball staying in his hand, his assists would be way up too. But the system of the triangle limits people from doing that.

Hmm... that is interesting. It speaks I think in part to his early entry in the league, and his longevity as much as his passing ability.

The top 30 all-time assists has few players that weren't PGs. Among them: The Big O (though some consider him a PG) Clyde the Glide, Pippen, Havlicek, Jerry West, and Reggie Theus (underrated player). When Kobe gets past these guys and cracks the top 25 of all time, I will be even more impressed.

This is an impressive milestone though, especially for Kobe who some have seen as a ball-hog. Even though he does dominate the ball and takes too many shots on some nights, he is still an amazing passer (his passing game, even if his assists aren't as high in previous season, is better than ever) and since Gasol has come to the team has gotten a better eye for finding the open man and getting them the ball in a creative and efficient way.

I'm not a Kobe fan exactly (I actually kind of hate him), but: Kodos!

No he didn't. A.I. has 24,368 career points. You gotta have 25,000 and 5,000 to be in the club.
