How is it determined which player has to change his jersey number for the allstar game?

For instance, this year Rose, Amare and Bosh (assumming he makes it) all wear #1. So in the allstar game who gets that number? I would assume either Rose or Amare since they are both starting.

Like when Bird, Ewing and Pippen were all in an allstar game (1992 Bird didn't play) both Ewing and Pippen wore different numbers. When Magic and Malone were in the allstar game together, Malone had to change his number.
Even in 1994 when it was just Ewing and Pippen (Ewing got to wear #33 while Pippen had to change to #30).

I'm sure this happened with Duncan and Garnett as well as they both wore #21.

I know it is just a scrimmage, but it seems like in the past they wouldn't allow players to wear the same number except in 1998 when it player wore it's team uniform in the game.

Maybe highest vote getter choices first.

They shouldn't even bother. Its not really important to do, like the scorekeepers will really have a difficult time telling one player from his other 4 teammates on the floor at once.

Yeah, seniority wins here. Besides, I would want Rose to wear #23 anyway ;)

^ A Bulls fan trying to get Derrick Rose's name into a thread nothing to do with the Bulls or Rose. That doesn't happen often.

Anyway, in recent years, the players have worn the same numbers.

I would think it should either be time spent in the league or the amount of all stars you have been to

Rose, Amare, and Bosh all wear #1. Before you say Rose has nothing to do with the thread, you should probably read the first post of the ****ing thread. This is unbelievable. Whenever Rose has to do with a thread, everything is okay until someone complains about the it being about Rose. And in every single instance I've seen today, it has been a Heat fan complaining. No one mentions it until the Heat fan complains.

I dont think the players change their numbers, 2 years ago Devin Harris and Paul Pierce were both wearing 34.

oh, I'm sorry, is this something new to you?

Heat fans never shut up about Wade or Lebron, Clippers fans never shut up about Blake, Warriors fans never shut up about Monta...

and this annoys you?

Most be in recent years, but I remember in the 90's everyone had to wear a different number.
