ok KD and Westbrook are AMAZING and just all around great but Lebron/Wade are the top 2 in the league. I mean it has to be them. They are by far the best duo, but KD/Westbrook are easily #2 and are better than any other duo by quite a bit. Assuming they stay teammates, they will one day be the best duo.

dont be a hater. Kobe and Gasol are easily the 3rd best, they have gone to 3 straight Finals and won 2 in a row. Kobe is still #3 in the league and Gasol is top 10. Just stop.

By the way, you say Kobe is playing aweful. You do relize his PER has gone up 3 points since last year
09-10 PER-21.9
10-11 PER-24.9

His TS%, and eFG% are both up from last year
09-10 TS%/eFG%-545%/488%
10-11 TS%/eFG%-558%/494%

His rebounding is up over last year as well
09-10 TRB%-7.7%
10-11 TRB%-8.5%

His WS/48 minutes are also up this year as well...

09-10 WS/48-.160
10-11 WS/48-.200

Again, stop hating and saying such silly things...

You people need to stop the nonsense with the Lebron Wade duo. Theyve been together how many games? Not even half a season and youre gonna put them in the same group with Kobe and Pau or Durant and Westbrook, Duncan and Parker?

Cmon guys be real yeah they have the big name recognition but as a duo they havent done ****. Very rarely have they both played at thier respective levels. One day one guy is on the next day the other isnt. When Wade has a great game Lebron has a subpar game by the standards we judge him on. And vice versa.

Now when the both of them are putting up 30 a night then we can put them in there but until then the sample size just isnt big enough to justify their placement in this conversation. They limped out of the gate and still havent played to the expectations set upon them. To compare them to duos who have been together for sometime and have had significant success to me isnt fair to

Kobe/Pau
Durant/Westbrook
Duncan/Parker

let them prove they are the best because of what they accomplish together not because of their individual careers or name recognition.

By your logic Kareem and Mgic and Malone and Stockton were a better Duo than MJ and Scottie.

What makes MJ and Scottie the best duo is them working together perfectly but most importantly CHAMPIONSHIPS and Kobe and Gasol have 2 thus making them a better duo at the moment....im sure you'll have some sort of double standard and respectfully disagree tho.

What makes MJ and Scottie the best duo is them working together perfectly but most importantly CHAMPIONSHIPS and Kobe and Gasol have 2 thus making them a better duo at the moment....im sure you'll have some sort of double standard and respectfully disagree tho.

No,
MJ was so much better than Kareem/Magic or Malone/Stockton that it made up for the difference

Lebron is the best player in basketball and Wade, is either 2, 3 or four

There shouldn't even be a debate, no other team has the quality of two players like the heat do, no matter how much you hate lebron or the heat you can't deny that

Like I said double standard...MJ is the best to play the game no doubt but he wasn't god and no he wasn't great enough to overcome the difference between Kareem and Magic combined or Stockton and Malone if he was he wouldn't of needed Pippen to come around before he won a ship.

That isnt the point, Lebron is the best player right now, wade is a top 5 player easy right now

what other team has two players top ten?

That's all you need to know, don't have to be cute or different with the answer just to be different, it's them and there is no doubt

You can say what you want but you cant say a duo that hasn't won anything is better than one that has...given its their first year together which is why I threw in the "not yet at least" till they show that they can win it they can battle it out with KD/RW, Rose/Boozer etc... but right now Kobe amd Pau is the easy answer.

I mean honestly when its all said and done if LBJ and Wade NEVER win a ring would you still claim their a better duo than Kobe and Pau? I think not cause if you did then you'd look like an idiot...so as of now ill give the nod to the DUO THATS HELPING THEIR TEAM DEFEND THE TITLE.

2.Duncan/Manu
3.Parker/Manu

Ill tell you KOBE AND SHAQ....and before them who was the last DUO to do that??? Jordan and Pippen IDK about you but to me that sounds like pretty good company for a DUO to be in so till anyone shows they can stop the duo of Kobe and Pau come playoff time you'd be foolish and somewhat ignorant to say its not Kobe and Pau at the moment.

I know your a big thunder fan, and westbrook might be top ten, but is not easy top ten, this season is the only season that he has played like a top ten player in the leage
In no order

Lebron
Wade
Kobe
Durant
Howard
Dirk
CP3
Melo
Gasol
DWill
Rose

Those are all the players I feel I can safely put infront of Westbrook right now based on this year, and past couple of years

But yes, thunder are close, but then again, lebron is better than durant, i would argue wade is too, therefore the heat duo is still better than the thunder duo

When I look at duo, I look at the two best players, Wade and Lebron have not played together before this year, Gasol and Kobe have had time to play together and result in championships, you can't fault wade and lebron for not being the best duo because they have not won anything yet, since they have not played a full season together

I would understand after two years if Lebron and Wade still have not won ****, that someone is a better duo, but you can't hate on them because of their lack of experince together

how exactly is it hating by me saying that the duo going for a three-peat is the best? I can careless what any duo does in the REGULAR SEASON cause come playoff... well you know the rest.

And how exactly is it not hating and disrespecting what Kobe and Pau have done by picking a duo(LBJ/Wade) that hasn't proven anything over one that has?

Because LBJ/Wade have not played together during the playoffs and therefore you can't compare their playoff failures individually alone compared to pau's and kobe's sucess in the playoffs

2010-2011 is the only season when wade and lebron have played together, therefore you can't compare their lack of playoff wins together because they have not played together during the playoffs, so you only can use the regular season...

I think his point is that until Wade and Lebron prove themselves in the playoffs together, Pau and Kobe are still ahead of them because they have. Doesn't matter that Wade and Lebron haven't had the chance yet. It's not really a knock on them, it's just that Pau and Kobe have proven to be winners.

This thread needs a name change...

Who has 2 top ten players on their team? Wink wink (Miami)

I dont give a **** how good either of them are they havent even won thier own division yet. How can you crown guys who havent even played a full season and put them in front of real Duos who have played together for longer periods of time and actually compliment each other and can play off one another...thats a duo.

2 players who fit together and can function as a unit all while leading the team to victories. Duncan and Parker fit that bill as does Kobe and Pau. Lebron and Wade, due to injury and both still trying to function as a duo, still havent had the time in to have the top spot. I dont care about their individual greatness. They havent reached the chemistry of real Duos like

MJ and Scottie
Stockton and Malone
Magic and Kareem

Lebron and Wade are still figuring how to play together and they are the best duo? Stop crowning these guys already. First you give them the title, when they havent even won their division yet and now they are the best Duo. If you are talking about 2 best players then yes but if youre talking duo as in 2 players who function perfectly together then NO!!!

If this thread is "who has the 2 best players?" then yes its Bron and Wade, but when they can play seamlessly and become the unstoppable force we all think they will be, then they are a top duo but right now I have them third.

And if they dont win that chip this year(and lebron is already laying the excuse foundation) then that duo isnt the best. Until they are dethroned its

Kobe and Pau.

And they havent even been the best this season. If they both fit together like a real duo should they would have the best record in the league. Best duo?!! How many tomato cans have they lost to this year? How many games has one of them sat out? How many games did they struggle trying to figure out how to play together at the highest level? They still havent figured it out yet.

LeBron and Wade currently, for this season. However, the playoffs will dictate what kind of a duo they really are. If the Lakers win the ring, and Kobe/Pau lead them again, its their crown yet again.

ummmm, 21 out of 23 before they got hit by injuries to all 3 players. Solid win today in OK city when all 3 are back tells me they are close to figuring it out. 2 of the most efficient players in the league so far. avg over 50 points per game combined. The core of one of the best defensive teams in the league. I'd say they know what they are doing.
