Could be serious, but luckily for him it wasn't.

DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Derrick Rose missed practice again Thursday, and coach Tom Thibodeau said the Chicago Bulls' star point guard has two stomach ulcers.

The 22-year-old Rose spent Wednesday at Rush University Medical Center for a procedure while he was under anesthesia.

"They put this camera down my throat," Rose said. "It was hard. I was in the hospital the whole day."

Rose thought he had only heartburn early in the week, but his discomfort did not subside.

"I'm feeling all right," he said. "[There's] still pain ... it's real painful for me to eat, drink, swallow, all that stuff, but they gave me some medication for it, and that's what I'm taking right now.

"I had heartburn, they gave me some pills ... thinking that it was going to go away but it didn't. And that's when it really got bad where I couldn't sleep good at night. And I thought I was having a heart attack, and that's when I called [athletic trainer] Fred [Tedeschi]."

Rose, who also missed practice Wednesday, hopes to play Friday when the Bulls host the Orlando Magic.

He's questionable for Friday's game against the Magic. :(

he's been playing with a bad back, so i doubt an ulcer would stop him

Who'dve thunk you'd find trolls in a thread about stomach ulcers.

Had the same thing to me when I was in college, except I had 18. Doctors said I had a golf course in my stomach. Also asked me to make a will, and let my parents know it was all due to binge drinking.

The camera down the throat wasn't so bad, more so the tube that went up my nose and into my stomach to drain all the blood out of there and not being able to eat or drink anything for over a day. Hope D. Rose doesn't have to endure that.

This is breaking NBA news. If this wasn't put in the NBA forum I wouldn't have known the planets had gone out of alignment.

Who'dve thunk you'd find trolls in a thread about stomach ulcers. The thing is it has to be league changing for anyone to really care. Look is he going to miss a week or a month. I doubt it. DRose is a good kid and I wish him the best but I am only interested in Leagure breaking news and debate on the main NBA forum.

Very league heavy as far as threads go in the nba forum...

Not saying this is thread worthy but...
