Big war movie buff, and basketball fan, so I figured I'd combine the two..Gimme 3 NBA players (past/present) that you'd go to war with and why.

Charles Oakley-Quiet, strong, hot headed..you always need a guy like this when going to war/fight

Michael Jordan-Cunning, ruthless, vocal leader who can take control of any situation

Allen Iverson-Smart, quick/agile, underdog

Arenas has some experience using guns.

Iverson's a straight up thug so he'll kill some people.

And I guess Shaq just for the jokes.

Interesting premise....well James Johnson of the Bulls is a blackbelt and has MMA bout experience if we have any hand to hand situations.....but I'm going for the crazies....Jayson Williams (i mean he shot a dude, right?), Calvin Murphy (ask Rudy T), and Artest.

You have to be more specific with the battlefront. Are you talking taking an entrenched position on a hilltop, recon, or Admin & Logistics?

Assuming that your looking for three guys to take a hill I would go with the three best shooters that have stamina, guts and heart.

Probably go with:

Ray Allen-Could probably shoot the hell out of an M16
Kevin Durant-Same as above
Ron Artest-Relentless, crafty and loyal

LeBron James, Blake Griffin, and Nate Robinson.

Theodore Roosevelt went into war with his friends that were in shape and very athletic. So I picked the most athletic athletes (I know there are players that are more athletic but I wanted someone that was on the smaller side.)

Bryant "Big Country" Reeves: you can't tell me this guy (http://www.deweze.com/pictures/BryantReeves.jpg) doesn't know how to use a gun
Jayson Williams: Clearly knows how to use a gun as well
Shane Battier: Probably the smartest NBA player, a great competitor and a great leader

Wilson Chandler, dude has the most composure, shows no emotion and focuses only on the job at hand.

Jordan - for the reasons everyone else mentioned, invaluable leadership and discipline

steve nash - his IQ, peripheral vision, and overall tactics would come up with the best strategies and plans
