This kid has been playing out of his mind lately...he struggled early this season, but now he too is a threat to score 30 on any given night on a team that includes Manu, Parker, Timmy, RJ and George Hill.

He is in race for MIP in mky opinion and doing pretty much the same things Glen Davis does for Boston...hustles his tail off, rebounding, being a big presence in the post and being a terrific pick and roll player.

He's putting up the same numbers he put up last season his FG% just went down. I don't see someone putting up 8 PPG on 49% shooting and 7 RPG as opposed to 8 PPG on 56% shooting and 6 RPG the previous year winning MIP.

He hasn't really improved much since last season.

He's playing better than anyone ever expected him to coming out of college, but this season compared to last season isn't a big enough statistical improvement.

Last season: 7.8 points, 6.4 rebs, .556 FG%, 17.7 PER, .564 TS%

This season: 7.8 points, 6.8 rebs, .485 FG%, 16.5 PER, .509 TS%

If anything, he's taken a slight step back in terms of overall productivity.

Lol Blair can score 30pts on any given night. He cant even score 20pts on any given night, nor does he have to. He is great role player thus far and is more likely a double double threat on any given night.

did u even look up his stats before u made this thread...theres a difference between the most improved player award and the 6th man award, even though he doesnt deserve that either, but if u want to bring up a award he can win, it would be the 6th man award
glen davis maybe he has doubled his points and rebounds, but once perkins gets healthly his numbers will drop

He hasn't improved, so how can you give him a MIP award.

Haha, Blair's season high is 22 and his career high is 28... so idk about "30 on any given night"... AND JayW might have posted this because Blair had two 18 point games and a 22 point game in the past four games..

spurs wont get love from the media jay....spurs do a lot better by staying under the radar as always....Blair has to put up even more to get considered....i am amazed at most of people in here....what do u guys mean exactly by "taking a step back"......dropping 17pts and 15reb against a laker frontcourt is not taking a step back....unless u guys think the laker frontcourt is soft and will let anyone get 15rebs

blair did not play very well last season.....this season he has couple 20pt games and he sure is big on offensive rebounds....i dont see how is that taking a step back....

to the heat fans....i am just going to ignore the pointless and kindergartenish comments directed towards the spurs and let the record do the talking.....
